Okay, so I know we see one of these pop up every couple of days, but I just had to share mine because this is a MIRACLE! My acne has been driving me insane over the last two weeks, with massive breakouts across my face, shoulders and upper back. I've tried everything to get rid of it; specialty acne creams, bicarb, toothpaste, those alcohol wipe things you use twice a day, lancing them and all sorts, and nothing helped at all!

But last night I remembered that I once used papaw ointment on a really painful pimple and it went away overnight, so I sighed and slathered my face with the stuff before bed in the vain hope that it would get rid of a few. Woke up this morning to at the very least a 70% improvement! My skin feels soft again after the horrible mess it had become trying all of those different methods, and it's noticably clearer. I had several of those deep, swollen pimples (sorry, TMI I know) that I'm sure we're all familiar with, which this morning appear to be gone completely. I'm quite certain that if I use this for a few more days my face will be clear again!

I know this product is super popular in Australia for healing damn near anything (cuts, burns, boils, chapped lips, rashes etc) but for those who don't know what it is, it's called Lucas' Papaw Ointment, and is made from papaw (papaya). If you can, I'd recommend using this exact brand, but perhaps there's a product similar in America/elsewhere that will work the same and come at a similar price? Here it's around $6 a tube, which will last you a fair amount of time.

Lol, reading back over this this evening I realise I was awefully gung-ho about it! It's still working its magic though! At the end of the day I only have one new pimple! The general redness of my face has died down amazingly too.

Thanks for the advice man! I hope it works as well for me. I am pre-t for another month or two, but I am really worried about the acne. I have always had really oily skin. My acne wasn't as bad as it could have been because I lived in a really dry climate, but next year I am moving to a place with about 80% and up humidity in the summer, so I worry that I will look like I have volcanos on my face.

I wasn't particularly worried about acne, because I only ever got a few pimples during my first puberty, so I figured it would be the same this time around. But at about five months in it just went crazy! My face has been covered in pimples for the last month or so, and they've now started spreading down my shoulders and back. Things that worked alright for me first puberty don't seem to be having any effect on these damn T-induced pimples the second time around! I think the thing I'm most grateful for about this stuff is that it seems to moisturise my skin at the same time; all of the other things I was told to try worked on the principal that they dried out your face, which of course left my skin a horrible peely mess that was still covered with pimples.

If anyone else tries this stuff, please let us know if it worked as well for you! I suppose everyone's skin is different, and we all need to find what works for us.

I have been having great results with Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree soap. I was having break-outs on my back and shoulders and they have cleared up after showering with it for about 2 weeks. My face and body feel really clean after I use it and it cuts the oil. It seems expensive but, you only need a little bit to create a lot of lather so a bottle will last a while.
