Annah

i dont really wear dresses but I do wear skirts with tights/hose/leggings with sweaters and flats or boots.

That's pretty much my wardrobe in a nutshell.

I can customize a skirt much more than a dress.

I'm with Annah on this one. I like dresses but a skirt is more flexible with the rest of my wardrobe. Also, I find it difficult to find dresses that fit me through the shoulders while not being baggy around the waist and hips. Although, I did find a sweater dress recently that is very nice (and comfortable!).

I've been trying to wear them more as my friends family and even my electrologist has chewed me out in the past for "not trying" and begin "deliberately unfeminine"
Wow they don't play to stereotypes much do they?  My wife (cis-female) didn't wear any dresses unless it was an event that demanded for it for a very long time (10+ years).  You don't have to wear a dress to be a woman.

Working at home I don't often wear a nice dress or skirt and blouse because my family and sometimes the mailman or ups guy are the only people I see most days.  We've not had a company meeting (we're all remote and it costs a ton to fly us all in) since I came out to work.  I've got a few nicer things picked out for my Chicago trip, but nice clothes and a trip to Sam's or the grocery store just makes you stick out like a sore thumb.

I love to wear a dress or skirt as often as possible.

Yes I do.  I think I've got quite good legs, particularly in heels and I love to show them off.  Lately, I have really been in dress mode and I haven't worn skinny jeans for quite a few weeks, just opaque tights

This thread (and all the cute dresses on ModCloth) inspired me to dig up my favorite dress out of hibernation. It was away in a box partly because it's a spring/summer-type dress and partly because I swore off dresses until after surgery, but now I remember how much I love it.

It'll fit so much better once all the boob-age is gone.

I wear hot pants under my dresses...tight hot pants.

I don't like the idea of my panties and legs being "exposed"

Over winter I wore skirts with tights or jeans, but now it is warming up here I am starting to wear summer dresses.  I particularly like shirt-dresses and longer 60's style kaftans.  Anything summery that lets me wear sandals.  I love the feeling of freedom.

No I don't like dresses. Maybe when it is hot outside.

I love them, but I have to be careful. I've got a long slender straight line of a figure, so I usually have to wear a belt and accessories to look good in one. The first dress I ever bought was one of those long black turtleneck dresses from Vickie's or someplace. I couldn't seem to look like anything but a monk in it. I've had better luck with other styles, but I usually prefer a skirt and top of some kind.

I do not wear them very often but occasionaly the mood strikes. When I do I am partial to travelers dresses and oversized hippy dresses.

I am much more likely to wear a skirt than a dress. When I wear skirts I have my own designer...Sevan!

I have a number of hir skirts.

But I am more likely to just wear jeans and a Tshirt most days...

My sister does similar things with old t-shirts. So comfy.
I'd rather like a pair of bloomers for under longer skirts when it's cold out. What a great idea.
(Just noticed they come in flannel. I kind of want them in plaid now. :D )

Well put Sevan to work then!

I love the mushroom skirt. I have a similar one.
I have skirts that are not listed...

I've never worn a dress or a skirt. I suppose I should try one on at some point just to satisfy curiosity. I wonder what I'd look like.

I like dresses, but I don't own any right now.  Dresses that look good and fit well are generally out of my price range.  Meaning that I'd rather spend that kind of money on other things.

I have a lot of skirts.  I wear them to work.  They're comfortable.  When I wear a skirt, I feel like I'm in drag, but there's nothing wrong with that.

Dresses are expensive here in my country. But, in the U.S., I sometimes could get nice dresses at discounted price. The quality is nearly the same regardless of price tags. The below was purchased at < $20 from a store in Seattle.

That dress has been well preserved in my closet since July 2008, but it is a pity that I could wear it just once. The destiny of other types of dresses I have bought so far was the same. Sigh~

Just do it.
