Tell Lowell Sun: Christmas Song Mocking Trans Rights is No Joke!

The Lowell Sun this week published a host of what are meant to be humorous and topical re-workings of Christmas songs. However one of the songs, to the tune of "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer," makes fun of Chaz Bono's trans identity and the new law in Massachusetts that protects trans people from workplace discrimination.

The song as posted on the news site reads:

To the tune of "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer":

Chaz Bono got turned into a man, dear.

Dancin' with a woman on TV.

You might say there's no such thing as Santa

Till you see what Chaz got 'neath his tree.
