My birthday is July 24, so that gives me seven months.

Cool. That sounds challenging but totally doable. Best of luck to you. :)

When I started losing weight in mid-August, I weighed 221 pounds. Today, I weigh 174, which means I lost almost 50 pounds in 5 months. I'm positive you can do it with a bit of self control and careful calorie intake. :)

Good luck on your journey!

Thats a totally doable goal. I've been dieting since August and have lost over 50 since then. I'm really limiting my calorie intake and eating small portions. My usual day consists of;
Breakfast:
1 Yoplait no fat yogurt, sometimes I sprinkle some Kashi crunchy cereal in it.
Lunch:
1 Yoplait no fat yogurt
1 Apple
1 Orange
1/2 cup of soy nuts
Dinner:
It depends, I sometime just have a salad, sometimes pasta. Dinner is the biggest meal, but I keep it reasonable and I try to eat it early so I don't go to bed with a full stomach.
Also, I'm a vegetarian, so that helps with the fat intake. My goal for the summer is to lose another 40 by July.

Good luck to you! I know how hard it can be to stick to weight loss, I'm perpetually trying to lose 50 lbs or so myself. :P

Thanks for the luck.  I finally found motivation in the realization that my chest would shrink.  I guess it's good for something.  ::)

I'm not going to claim to have researched this, but I know fat kids get their periods at a younger age. And curves look womanly.

Btw, I always thought I was exempt from these worries, because I'm skinny and I tend to be too active and not eat, but I'm gaining weight fast. Like I've gained 15 pounds in less than a month. The first 5 I needed, I guess, and the next 5 were a comforting buffer, but when it kept going, lol whoa I'm not sure about this anymore.

So I might be in the same boat as you soon, idk. And hey losing weight can be good for happiness and longevity, not just passing. :)

Yeah, there's definitely a happy middle ground between fat and scrawny.  Health concerns are important, but it's nice to have the feeling that I would like to have a certain body too.  I don't know if I can get particularly muscular and uncurvy pre-t, but it's worth a shot.
