Hi

My name is Sarah. I live in Brisbane Australia and I am a 21 year old MtF. I am still currently living as a male but I have taken my first towards transition by organising an appointment with a therapist.

Hi, Sarah, and welcome to Susan's.  I'm in SA, but there are quite a few other Aussies here, too.  Good that you've taken the first step.

Hi Sarah,

A big warm Aussie welcome to Susan's. One of the warmest, friendly and compassionate families on the Web. You are among friends, and there are a few of you in Brissy. Must be something in the water up there, is there? LOL. I'm down south in sunny Sydney.

Good to hear you are coming to terms with your journey and taking positive forward steps. A good age to do it at too. There is a very active TG community in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, that have a variety of activities happening throughout the month, that could be of benefit to you. It's one thing to have a supportive family on line, yet a totally different experience to be out amongst it in real life. Whichever way, if you plan on going the whole way, you'll need a close knit support group.

You'll find a wealth of information here, as well as a phenomenal amount of experience from lots of members who have "walked the talk."

Hope you appt with your therapist goes well. Don't be a stranger here, keep in touch and let us know how you are coping. In the meantime, be safe, well and happy.
Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Hi Sarah

I am from the Northern Tablelands area of NSW and I am quite happy with my life living as a CD/TV. I have been a CD/TV for as long as I can remember and I am not sure why I am happy with that.

Congratulations on your taking your first steps towards the person you know are.

Hugs

Melissa

Hey Sarah,

Seems like there's plenty of us Aussies here.  Just like you I'm still living as a male, but I'm waiting for an appointment with the psych before I can get started on HRT.  I got a referral about 4 months ago, and apparently I won't be getting in for at least a few months yet.  Apparently he's the only psych specialising in GID in the state, so not much can be done but sit and wait.  Hope the QLD situation is a little better!

Hi Sarah,

I'm Cindy from Adelaide, welcome to Susan's :-*

A few rules.

Hi, and welcome to Susan's! We have people come to visit us from all over the world, expressing different points of view, and you are likely to find someone to help you along your way

Here are some important links and things to ponder as you begin your journey here.

•   Site Terms of Service and rules to live by are in the announcement area and include:
•   Standard Terms and Definitions
•   Post Ranks ( including when you can upload an avatar/post links and photos)
•   Age and the Forum
•   Reputation rules
Feel free to post and discuss anything within the rules, if you make a mistake, don't panic, report it to a Mod, there is a button to the right of your post.
If a post upsets, or is insulting to you report it to a Mod. Do not take action yourself. We are here to help you and maintain the site for all.
Our mission is to be a support site for gender dysmorphic people of any situation, so feel at home and feel comfortable. You are now family.

Then off we go. There is quite a contingent of Aussie girls and boys at Susan's, must be the water.  I'm pretty sure that Devlyn is really an Aussie at heart but trying to disguise herself as an American

Feel free to ask away, there are resources in Brisbane, and there are a heap here.

Welcome

Cindy
