I chose Deborah, because my grandmother told me that before I was born, mom and dad had picked out names for a girl and boy. If I had been a girl it would have been Deborah. I just wanted to honor them with the pretty name they picked out.
As for the picture. This one is recent.  I had a lot of help. It was taken in Vegas at one of those makeover places. All of us girls had it done while there.

That picture is of me about a year ago and it is before I fell into depression over the summer. that was before I found this site and got a job (which I lost on my third week). For the name, Michael, its my real name. The last name is not. I thought it had a nice ring to it.

Lucy

I just Love the name Lucy, I think that it suits my personality

I choose my Avatar because she looks like me ( or I wished she did )

Young, full of spirate and fun.

HelenW

Well, this might sound a bit lame, but Helen was the only "H" name on the female side of the 100 most popular names in 1955!

I was planning on using it temporarily but it's grown on me so I think I'll keep it.  Mom told me I'd have been named Regina had I been born female.  :P

My pic is really me, although it's a lucky shot from a great angle and I wish I looked as good all the time.  I might change it now and again as the mood strikes me.

I am soo serious that I need to create a fun thread.  Some use their actual name on Susan's while most don't.  Some use their actual picture, some use symbols, some use an imaginary character, and others change their picture like wallpaper.

I picked Wendy because she is the hamburger girl that was loved by her dad.  (My dad loved me but he always told me to stop acting like a girl.  He was not like Wendy's dad.)  I am not sure which girl's name I would pick if I changed my name. Most likely it would not be Wendy.

I liked the picture because this lady looks older as I would envision myself if I had grown up in a female body.  She also looks shy, mysterious, intelligent and secretive.   ...and if secretive has its virtues then I am virtuous!  :)

Have fun!

Hallo Wendy, thanks for your message.  I like your name too.  My best friend's name is Wendi whith a vowel.  bye.

MeganRose

Megan - because it's my name, simple as that :). No real idea why I chose it, I just look in the mirror and to me my face screams "Megan" at a rather loud volume.

Rose - because there was already another Megan registered so I just added Rose onto the end because I thought it sounded pretty. My actual middle name is Emily, I chose it for my great aunt who passed away last year. She was probably the strongest, most independant woman I've ever had the honour of meeting, in a lot of ways she was a very big inspiration to me.  My father was not that impressed with my decision however, but that's another story.

My avatar is me, from about 2 months ago. I should probably update it soon, seeing as I now have my hair actually doing what I want it to :).

Debbie_Anne

Debbie Anne is my name, and I couldn't come up with an imaginative screen names, so I went with it.  Deborah Anne is the name my mother would have given me if I were born female, and after she passed away in 2003 and I decided that i would transition, I used that name to honor her memory.  I also think "Debbie Anne" suits me.  The icon I am using is my photo from January of this year, I am not sure whether that is the best idea or not.  I may switch it to something more anonymous if it would be a better idea.

Are you kidding?  That's my middle name too and our first names are already similar (my daughter actually got the name Megan).  Very cool. :)

Dryad

I tend to take my screennames from mythology. One of them, my most (in)famous, means Child of the Chaos and Fire god. It means that, though it's really one word. The reason I don't use it here is for privacy reasons, of course. As I said; it's my most (in)famous screenname.

Dryad is the second one. Because Dryads are mostly female, but there are male dryads known in mythology. A nice opposition to me, myself, as I am physically nearly fully male, as in: well over 90%, but mentally much like an even split. And I like something that can be both either sex and both sexes.

The avatar is because I feel torn and chaotic, at the moment. Which I think this typo-fearie pretty much demonstrates. (drew it myself, and I have quite a few more pics I might use in the future, ready to replace.)

Thundra

:: Yeesh :: I ended up with Thundra cause Leigh and I were goofing around when she was signing me up here. We were always cutting up and messing around. I suggested Thundra as a joke, because I have oodles of attitude, but unbeknowst to me, she actually used that suggestion!!

So, sweet, innocent, lovable me, ended up with a rather confrontational nickname.

Thank goodness nobody thinks I am really all that obnoxious? ;)

I even had a cute phrase under my signature -- "can I rain on your parade today?"

AnnieE

I use AnnieE because that's what I'm getting my name changed to in a few year, and because I was too afraid to use the female version of my computer nerd alias.

Maud

Altered spelling of my real name, I don't like being googleable as trans.

As for why I chose my current legal name? I quickly chose a bit of a crap one because I had nothing better and then thought long and hard about it, this one (spelt ending with ud instead of wd and pronounced mord NOT mod) just fit and it didn't make me feel weird to use it so it stuck, my family wanted to call me a H name similar to my birthname which I did not want at all, I hated that name too much.

I never liked the idea of people seeing a picture of me beside my posts, there are a few pictures in the gallery of me but I like to maintain a little privacy, I should put up something else but i've just not got around to it.

timberwolf

my usual name is wolfbitch which was created by my ex when he signed me up for gaydargirls, a uk lesbian chatsite. but it was rejected by susans so i went with timberwolf. the reason i chose the wolf thing is that my main ally in the spirit world is either a grey or timber wolf. and i have been known to be a bitch. as for the picture..it just happens to be the best one i've got. as for my name joanne well i got a soul retrieval which brought back 3 missing soul parts which were all girls. i asked them what they wanted to be called and they all seemed to settle on joanne. voila. in just remembered... my sister wanted a little sister when i was born and she used to call me joanne

debbiej

My name? I was infatuated with a Debbie once. It was a short term and long range relationship and, looking back, I think I was more into looking like her rather than being with her.

My avatar? It's me in Second Life (sl) as Debbie. It's a picture I took of myself at a Unitarian Universalist church where I sometimes go for worship and meditation.

What's Second Life? An internet world where you can create another version of yourself and interact with other avatars. It is where I first started calling myself Debbie and where I discovered that I could no longer suppress the Debbie inside of me. WARNING If you go visiting on sl you need to know that there are both "mature" areas and "PG" areas on sl. I was rather shocked at first but then found areas that I was more comfortable with.

angelsgirl

I picked angelsgirl because, well, I couldn't think of anything better at the time, I just wanted to log on so I threw it up there. My real name is Kelly and there's enough Kelly's that I don't really have a problem divulging that info.  [vomit alert] I suppose I choose angelsgirl because Jocelyn is my little angel and uh...I'm her girl! So if opposites attract, I suppose that makes me a bit of a devil doesn't it?  >:D

I've had my real pic up a while ago, but my hair is really different now, even if my face hasn't changed, and I guess the inaccuracy bothers me a bit. I'm really bad at remembering to have my pic taken and then I'm even worse at actually setting up any pics online.

My current avy is some make your own chibi-self thing that Jocelyn found online and that's the one she picked out for me. It's pretty close, actually, my hair has been know to get that crazy!

JenniferElizabeth

Wel my name came from  a novel, and a teen series of books.Jennifer was a srtong girl in a book called "Possessions" and Elizabeth came from the series called " Sweet Valley High".I loved both names, and spent alot of time tring to figure out which I wanted to use. Well with no clear cut choice,I stuck them together. I think they work very well. As for the pic, yes its mine.
