The question of pretty VS vagina- Pretty- hands down for reason already stated above. I was a head turner in my 20's and 30's, and look pretty good for my age. Passing was not a problem for me. Still on the sunny side of 40, I find that not having SRS has ultimately made little difference in my life, business, and other issues. ALL of the gals I know personally (not from forums) who have had it, found after care to be more problematic that anticipated, and the result while acceptable, not as fantastic as expected in their view. I hope I don't upset anyone here for writing this- don't look for any response.

My lover has never insisted on any genital manifestation one way or the other. My Lover just wants me to be healthy and safe. Since we are both facing not being luscious 20 somethings anymore, we do the best we can to maintain our beauty. Such as it is. I guess I have been uncommon lucky--

last night i was thinking about myself walking through a public area naked, and then including my male genitalia. it's a weird thing. to me, it's like "yeah, it's genitals, we all have them." to many others it would make me a freak of nature. i think something like a non op/pre op transperson streaking would go onto the news, and they would say something like "transsexual man." since genitals are a membership card in most circles.

You know when I used to meet gay men on hook up sites. The last thing I'd think about is their penis. Yeah, it was important... But I was into their faces, chests, etc... The penis being a merely device for us to share pleasure between each other.

Thats how I view my transition...My genitals are secondary and can't change the fact that I have XY chromosomes...

i have a penis, but then i also have something called "mosaic klinefelter's." i have a mix of cells with XY/XXY chromosomes. i'm not chromosomally female, but i could hardly say i'm chromosomally male either. it shows more that it's impossible to tell someone one thing that is the absolute factor of who they should be. i'm still transgender either way. i've gone through living as a male, and then i went through gender transition to female. it was the same without having anything to do with anything else.

  I agree with you there about SRS being problematic and not as great as some ts women think it will be, plus there is the risk of complications and the cost of surgery...ugh. One of the things that turned me off about SRS is the whole dilating routine you have to do for rest of your life like it's not bad enough i have to take a pill every day to maintain my feminine appearance now i have to painfully insert a long object into my neo vagina to keep it from closing?

Eh i think i'd rather wait a few years and see how far medical science advances in that area before making a decision.

I'm not sure how you log in to vote but I would say personally the first bit would be my vote. The first thing people see is your face and then your body. Most people don't see you undressed so will make a decision on your gender by your appearance.
