I just gave you your first applaud (+1) lol

Well, I was joking about being discriminated against but it would be better and more respectful if the posters wrote about what they liked to hear than posting embedded music since I can at least read about it even if I have no clue what they are talking about or never had heard it.

thank you

You've Got A Friend - Carol King with friends (stereo)

Whoa ! That's really showing yer gendered carbon dating !

How about this one ? Found a pristine CD in a thrift shop for a buck and my kids, now every-time in car, are thoroughly sick of this track  !

Locomotive Breath by Jethro Tull
Quote( enter with piano solo

electric lead guitar slowly builds to a crescendo )
In the shuffling madness
Of the locomotive breath,
Runs the all-time loser,
Headlong to his death.

He feels the piston scraping --
Steam breaking on his brow --
Thank God, he stole the handle and
The train won't stop going --
No way to slow down.

He sees his children jumping off
At the stations -- one by one.
His woman and his best friend --
In bed and having fun.

He's crawling down the corridor
On his hands and knees --
Old Charlie stole the handle and
The train won't stop going --
No way to slow down.
Quote( . . . flute solo by rock flute virtuoso Ian Anderson.
The lyrics use the imagery of an impending and unavoidable train wreck as an allegorical portrayal of a man's life falling apart. )
He hears the silence howling --
Catches angels as they fall.
And the all-time winner
Has got him by the balls.

He picks up Gideon's Bible --
Open at page one --
God stole the handle and
The train won't stop going --
No way to slow down.[/i]
"But it's no use now," thought poor Alice, "to pretend be two people!
"Why, there's hardly enough of me left to make one respectable person!"

That!

That is what I would appreciate - if you posted a YouTube video without having closed captioning or subtitles, at least have the decency and sensitivity to write down what is being said.

+1 to this

Most people here, if they even remember or care (lol), know that I am 100% deaf and use ASL/write English...

Thus, I can't contribute here or even listen to those posts with music embedded here  :icon_lalala:
Poppycock! Obviously, someone has not listened to Dubstep. Spend 5k on some hifi set up with some 15in subwoofers. Listen to this with it cranked up. Trust me, you will get it. Just be careful, you might get an infection from how dirrrty it is.

Sweet Blue Girl

Grace

There's the moon asking to stay
Long enough for the clouds to fly me away
Though it's my time coming, I'm not afraid, afraid to die
My fading voice sings of love,
But she cries to the clicking of time,
Of time

Wait in the fire...

And she weeps on my arm
Walking to the bright lights in sorrow
Oh drink a bit of wine we both might go tomorrow,oh my love
And the rain is falling and I believe
My time has come
It reminds me of the pain I might leave
Leave behind

Wait in the fire...

It reminds me of the pain I might leave
leave behind...

And I feel them drown my name
So easy to know and forget with this kiss
But I'm not afraid to go but it goes so slow

Wait in the fire...

La donna cannone

I'll throw my huge heart among the stars one day
I swear that I will
and over the blue of the tent I will fly
When the cannon lady of gold
and silver will become
without passing through the station
she will take the last train.
In the face of evil and proud people my name will shine bright
the gates of the night
the day will hold
applause of the paying public will underline it
and from the mouth of the cannon a song will sound.

And with my hands, my love I'll hold your hands
and without saying a word in my heart I'll carry you.
And do not be afraid
if I'm not as beautiful as you say
but we'll soar into the sky, flesh and bones, we'll not return, never never.
And with no hunger, no thirst, no wings and no net we will fly away.

So the cannon lady
huge mystery flew
all alone into the dark sky set off.
All closed their eyes in the exact moment she disappeared
other swearing that they had never been there.

And with my hands, my love I'll hold your hands
and without saying a word in my heart I'll carry you.
And I'll have no fear if I'll not be beautifoul as you say
but we'll soar into the sky, flesh and bones we'll not return.
And with no hunger, no thirst, no wing no safety net we ll fly away.

That is what I would appreciate -

Thx and Yer Welcome MsDazzler - always likened this song to: it's The World that's heading for train wreak and every good man (trans?) must battle to the death against it !

Check my sig below: "Coming"
QuoteShe, for there can be no doubt about her sex, is visiting the house she finally lost for the first time in over a 100 years. She does still have some natural advantages of course. She is tall and slim with a slightly androgynous appearance that many females at the time aspired. Then her upbringing. She has lived for 400 years and hardly aged a day and because this is England, everyone pretends not to notice.

. . . but she is changed she is no longer trapped by destiny. And ever since she let go of the past she found her life is beginning
I am coming! I am coming!
I am coming through!
Coming across the divide to you
In this moment of unity
I'm feeling only an ecstasy
To be here, to be now
At last I am free-
Quote" "Why are you sad? I am not, I am happy. Look up there . . ."
(an angel is entreating, embracing her)
Yes-at last, at last
To be free of the past
And of a future that beckons me.
I am coming! I am coming!
Here I am!
Neither a woman nor a man-
We are joined, we are one
With a human face
We are joined, we are one
With [the] human [race]
I am on earth
And I am in outer space
I'm being born and I am dying[/i]
(Potter, 1994: 62).
"But it's no use now," thought poor Alice, "to pretend be two people!
"Why, there's hardly enough of me left to make one respectable person!"
