Maybe they are intimidated by our lists?

I had no idea what the <not allowed> I was doing a year ago, if that helps people be more forthcoming. Totally not going to judge.

Yeah... even if your routine is short and simple, let us know!

Speak up or forever be judged as women that live in filth and who don't take care of themselves at home but clean up when presenting for pics to post hefe  ;) :D

Okay, here's my list...

• Shower daily using Softsoap coconut/shea butter body wash
• Shampoo daily with Nexxus Therappe
• Condition daily with Pantene Pro-V
• Facial LHR every six weeks (though currently postponed after six sessions)
• Tweeze eyebrows whenever needed (checked daily)
• Clip nails whenever needed (checked daily)
• Shave/epilate body hair once a week using Venus razor and Skintimate shaving cream / Braun Silk-épil Xelle epilator
• Facial cleansing morning and evening with Neutrogena Microdermabrasion (soon to get the Clarisonic Mia)
• Daily facial moisturizing with generic SPF 15 facial lotion / various other facial moisturizers
• Daily hand moisturizing with Olay shea butter lotion
• Daily body moisturizing with Vaseline cocoa butter lotion
• Lip balm frequently with One shea butter/coconut
• Deodorant daily with Mitchum for Women (Powder Fresh)
• Fragrance frequently with scents from Bath and Body Works (currently Sea Island Cotton or Hawaii Coconut)
• Make-up daily with Neutrogena, Clinique, and VS make-up products / Elf brushes

So, ya.  That is that.  For this year, there are really only a few things I can think of right now that I'd like to work on beauty-wise, but I feel they are important...

• Healthier diet and exercise
• Enhance make-up skills
• Better hair, nail and skin care
• Buy and use consistent products as opposed to my current buying whatever is decent and low cost

Okay, I'll post my current list.  As I said before, this year I intend on stepping up my routine as I feel it's quite lazy.  Anyway, here goes...

• Shower daily using Softsoap Coconut Scrub body wash
• Shampoo daily with Nexxus Therappe
• Condition daily with Nexxus Hydra Sleek or Pantene Pro-V
• Facial LHR every six weeks (though currently postponed after six sessions)
• Tweeze eyebrows whenever needed (checked daily)
• Clip nails whenever needed
• Shave body hair once a week using Venus razor and Skintimate shaving cream
• Facial cleansing morning and evening with Neutrogena Wave and Cetaphil cleanser
• Day facial moisturizer with Neutrogena Spectrum Face (SPF 100)
• Daily body moisturizing with Vaseline Cocoa Butter lotion
• Day lip balm with One Shea Butter/Coconut
• Deodorant daily with Mitchum for Women (Powder Fresh)
• Fragrance applied many times throughout the day and night using scents from Bath and Body Works (currently Sea Island Cotton)
• Neutrogena make-up products (typically just a bit of foundation)

So, ya.  That is that.  I suppose once I become employed again, certain products will be replaced with better (more effective) ones.  But for now, I manage with what I can.  For this year, there are really only a few things I can think of right now that I'd like to work on beauty-wise, but I feel they are important...

• Healthier diet and exercise
• Enhance make-up skills
• Better hair, nail and skin care

Thanks, Amy! It is obvious you are a coconut lover. I m currently experimening with a variety of oils to see which s best for my hair.. coconut and emu did not do much, nor jobjoa... now trying out argan oil.

why get up, put on makeup, then remove it?

And do you trim your own hair?

I meant for night routine.

But I get my hair cut at "It's all about you" in the Castro.

Max, the lead stylist cuts my hair and said, "I have a nice neck".

The ones I find at walgreens/sallys.

It's like "tasty mask" or something.

  - Shower with body wash and facial scrub (St.Ives) twice a day.

  - Shampoo & Condition hair (Dove deep moisture!) twice a day.

  - Body lotion (also St.Ives lol) twice a day.

  - Day cream (Olay) when I wake up.

  - Night cream (Prevage night cream, kinda pricey though) at night.

  - Deep condition (Home made using olive oil, sugar, and vanilla) once very 2 weeks or so mainly cuz I already have great hair so I don't need it lol.

  - Perfume/body spray's, anti-perspirant daily.

  - Mac Face & eye primer before I apply my makeup.

  - Makeup (All MAC...i'm addicted to MAC baby!)

  - Salon to get eyebrows done and full Brazilian wax every 3-4 weeks.

  - Hair dresser to trim ends and style hair.

    I think that's it?  :eusa_think:

Thank you  for your contribution.

So, that makes, what, 6, of us so far that have beauty routines?

I wonder if all of you live in California?   LOL

I have a few though.   I use Ahava products to soak in body baths, scalding hot water though and then dead sea salt.  I also recommend peeling creams just because they freshen your face so much.

I'll get my brows shaped every few months or so.  But I'm also forty years old and have been married for 12 years so I'm not exactly trying to gussy myself up.  One thing I have been totally blessed with is the fact that I have flawless skin.  Never a pimple or break out.  So that might contribute to not having a beauty routine.  I honestly don't need one.  When I've tried to do it in the past I've just wound up breaking out.

OK, here's mine..

  • Shower with Dove body wash
  • Shampoo & Condition (Sunsilk) hair every 2nd day.
  • Shave face.
  • In shower Cleanser and Toner for face daily - same thing + exfoliating every 2nd or 3rd day
  • Nivea Q10Plus Eye Care cream daily.
  • Dove Essential Nutrients Protective Day Cream inc SPF 15 (this is for the face)
  • Body lotion (Dove Firming Lotion) morning and night.
  • Sunscreen on exposed areas
  • Perfume/body spray's, anti-perspirant daily.
  • Eyebrows done 4 weeks or so, with touch ups by me as needed.

I do my legs once a week, or whenever they start to annoy me. Armpits every couple of days. This year I need to get on to some permanent hair removal for my face - but I need a job before that will happen.

Should look in to some masks and maybe a peel too.. But there's only so much I can do on my current budget..

They discontinued a peeling cream that was AMAZING.  I think you could get it a bit cheaper Kelly aus due to your location.  It's not a peeling mask, it's a cream you put on and then wait and then use a wash cloth to slowly wipe off the cream and it peels off a layer of skin and rejuvinates your whole face as if you've had a facial.

My skin is so pale and delicate that anything more caused me to break out so I loved this.

And please at least wear sunscreen people. If you only ever do one single thing for your face, put on sunscreen in the morning and reapply every 2 hours you are in direct sunlight. More important than everything else combined.

Always do.

No, but I know what you mean!  ;D

MsDazzler: Anyway, your routine must be working already because you've got a great avatar pic. I'm going to try and come up with a new one myself soon.

Thanks! I am still playing around with it, though - because my hair is very difficult to handle and still havent fiund the right product to handle it

Blah, ok I'll give my rather plain routine

1. Wash face with Johnson & Johnson gentle cleansing wash.
2. Apply Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion on the face.
3. St. Ives Renewing Collagen moisturizing lotion on arms.
4. Apply Merrel Norman Retouch Color Cream (Concealer) under eyes and on nose.

Shampooing:
Twice a week I'll shampoo and condition with Biolage Matrix Straightening Repair. Then I'll let it air dry if I have time, apply Not Your Mommas thermal protectant, and flat iron my hair to get the frizz out. I don't even need hairspray. Between shampoos I will occasionally use Ion Daily Solutions anti frizz oil on my hair, then fluff it a lil if I feel the need to. If I fluff, I will set it.

Evening maintenence:
Every day I get out the tweezers and pull some hair out along the browline. Every couple of weeks I laser my face, hands and feet. I normally shower and use sunsoap but I'm thinking of switching. I think the fragrances in it are drying my skin out even more than it naturally is. No idea what I may switch to, I'll probably go to Salleys or Armstrong Mccall and get something nice since I can get a discount.
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.
