I had Japanese food and because one of the waittresses new my friend, we got free green tea ice cream!  YUM!  My friend teaches ESL at a local junior college...we've gotta start taking her to all the ethnic restaurants so we can get free food from her students...lol.  That's awful.

Ate a cough candy ( Hall's) and it upset my stomach so quickly I almost crapped my pants at work.  Had to stink up a public washroom which is one of my worst nightmares EVER !!!

Baked beans with a slice of bread. Could have used some butter on that bread.

@Andrea_Bailey Copycat!   ;)  I steeped my green tea with a bit of ginger and put in a little lime juice, though.

A 2$ avocado... highway robbery. I thought I would eat it all so I cut it up and put salt and pepper on it but then I only ate a small bit of it so I wrapped it up and it turned all black. Is that normal?  I fear I was eating something that was well on its way to rotting. Gross.

You have to put something really acidic on it to keep it from turning.  Lime juice works fairly well, but it has to coat the outside or be mixed in well.  If you don't mash it up, you can always wash the lime juice off.  The turning is totally normal though.

I used to eat half and then put the other half in a plastic sandwich bag with a lot of lime juice.

Lemon juice will keep an avocado from turning black.

Speaking of avocado, did you know the word is derived from the Nahuatl language word ahuacatl, which means "tree testicle"?
You will never look at an avocado in the same way again.

I've made a leek and bean casserole with loads of garlic and onion, some fresh sardines, fried some polenta and washed it down with a cup of tea and a bottle of Dutch amber beer...I am in piggy heaven.

Oh and I love an avocado (and to buy one at the equivalent of $2 here would be a good bargain, food is so expensive at the moment.)
