Hand size...?

At the cost of sounding stupid, I'd like to ask if our hands stay the same size after starting T. I know that our bones thicken a bit, but does that change hand size noticeably? I have very small hands (even for someone who is physically a girl) and it bothers me that I'll have these tiny hands that will make it obvious that I'm a FTM. =(

I don't think they're going to change to any noticeable degree. Your tiny hands won't necessarily give you away, though. Remember most of the general public has never even heard of transmen, and those who have aren't going to be looking closely at you for clues like small hands. And on top of all that, cispeople have quirks too.

I was watching an FtM on Youtube and he said that when he was on T his hands and especially fingers got thicker and when he noticed he thought something was wrong and his hands were swollen so I'm sure its possible for the hands and fingers to increase in girth but it just depends on the person.

Just as Felix said, no one is going to be paying close attention to your hands.

Most FTMs do have small hands, and most pass after HRT regardless of that.

Your hands will not change drastically. You will gain weight, and it's possible for them to get somewhat larger due to that, but it won't make them lengthen (if anything they will widen*as in finger thickness and such*, but not drastically). If anything, my bet would possibly be going up in a ring size. I have never been in conversation with another man and looked at his hands to the degree of noticing size(if I looked at his hands, it was most likely because he was gesturing), so I'm not sure what cisgendered mens hands are; small or large, and I can bet the only one noticing your hands will be someone that is in close proximity for some sort of affection(as in that you're touching). That being said, I truly don't think she/he(whichever your preference) would be one the wiser, and while on HRT no one else will be either even if they do notice smaller hands.

Just like feet size, there isn't a lot of difference that HRT is going to make towards that.

I've heard that ligaments can thicken and increase the chubbiness of fingers.  That's why I've held off investing in my wedding ring.

If it's any consolation my dad's best friend is 5foot1, he has size 4 feet and the smallest hands I've ever seen on an adult let alone a man, but never have I, nor anyone else I know, thought 'wait a second, was he born male?' you just think, oh cool, he's a bit smaller than some other people. He's really cool though and no one cares. So I wouldn't worry about it mate, once your sporting some facial hair and the gruffolo's voice no-one's going to take a second glance at your hands :)

This might be one of those YMMV things. Felix and I started T around the same time and this is the first post I've seen where our changes have differed. My hands got noticeably meatier within the first week on T, but I also had really scrawny and weak hands to start with.

In fact, I think most of my newfound strength has come from my suddenly massive man hands and wrists. I went to the gym and was surprised that I couldn't lift that much more on any of the machines, but I'm throwing heavy stuff around my garage like it's nothing. I also can't remember the last time I struggled to open a jar, which used to be a huge problem for me.

I don't think so actually.

From my knowledge you're bones won't get bigger . . like your fingers won't get longer and stuff, but you're hand can get erm "meatier".

I for one have small scrawny hands and now almost 2 months on T I've noticed that they're a lot more meatier than before which is cool

I've heard of people growing out of rings and overall their hands got thicker. I remember someone mentioning growing out of a pair of gloves.

your hands and feet can grow a little. my feet are actually a size larger already (2.5 months on T). as everyone mentioned, they're not gonna change from tiny to huge though. the veins may become more visible and the hands may look more "square"

Hell yes, it did for me and very fast. But age might be a factor; I was 17.

Pre-T I once had a girl comment on a picture like "how can you be a guy when you have such girly hands?"

Then a few months on T, someone sent me a Formspring question like "How were you born female? you have man hands."

I should point out that I don't wear rings, and if my hands got bigger on T, I might just not have noticed.

Blood volume definitely increases with testosterone, but your finger length shouldn't. Meatier hands might help, though. :)

My hands haven't gotten longer (I'm 9months on T) but they have thickened up! I went from a size 6 ring to an 10.5-11.5 to fit comfortably (I ordered my reward ring from work when I was about 4 months on T and a 8.5). XD Also, my veins pop out a lot more when I use my hands to lift. I joke that I have guitar player hands, since the veins and bones are more defined. :P
