"Sex Change  - Him to Her" - Discovery Channel - 2 April 2005

I have a number of TS related documentaries on disk and after installing a SCSI scanner, I thought that I might watch the one previously mentioned again...

I couldn't finish watching it; I had to shut it down.

And I was mildly traumatized...and it induced pain. And for some reason I feel hollowed out, inside.

I will not watch it again until I am full-time. I can't deal with this right now.

ive watched it as well.  their stories are very similar to ours, filled with pain, sadness, happiness, laughter, ups & downs ; the good thing is that there's a happy ending for all of them.

I can understand that...sometimes I get frustrated watching those doccumentaries, seeing people getting their surgery while I don't even know how I'll pay for mine.  I just stopped watching them.  I don't need the frustration anymore.

That is a very good point.

Yes, I definitely understand, Rhonda.  I still get misty-eyed when I watch programs like the one you mentioned.  I think that it is a very human response to feel sadness when you relate to something so profound and remember certain events in your life which were not very pleasant.
