I think this is why he said most.

>_<
"On that note, our personalities are rather great too. Masculine qualities and inclinations with better understanding of women, more sensitivity and more open mindedness than the average straight bio male. We are the best of all worlds."

Most was mentioned in the first part.

IMO most trans guys aren't like that. Most are misogynistic. Most are pretty darn close minded...and most if not all are not martian/human hybrids.

Give him a break. I'm sure he wasn't trying to personally offend you by anything he said nor was he intending to imply that transguys were some other worldly form of transmogrification (no pun intended >_<). Personally, I don't even like identifying as trans, but some guys do. Like everyone, we have differences, but there are a lot of similarities in transitioning. As far as guys going around wearing skirts, I'd have to say that you are an exception, but certainly not a bad one at that. :] This is more of what I meant.
Meow.

The thing is, I've been told over and over this generalization of trans men being some sort of "greater man" and it just plain isn't true and makes me very uncomfortable. I know people don't aim it as an attack to me, but it always makes me feel icky, and as if people are saying I'm not as much of a man as a cis man.

I know quite a few trans guys that enjoy their skirts and make up. I know I'll be more comfortable with that when I'm in a better place (Socially with my transition).

I just don't like the generalizations of trans men are the best of both worlds, brave for just existing, etc.

Actually...I'm making a new thread. *wanders off*

It's just because you're sexiness is heating up the room.

I think you just may be right. Dang, I knew there was a reason the window was fogging up so much! 8)

Crashdown

Nygeel, I clearly stated that I was generalizing. I don't think I needed to state it in every sentence. I clearly stated that some trans guys are ugly, and ->-bleeped-<-s too, in order to show that I know there are people who don't have the traits I had listed prior. I didn't say you have to have these traits, nor that everyone does. And I don't feel I need to state that these are my opinions based on my own experiences, because that should be apparent in that I'm the one stating them.

No one is talking about martian/human hybrids here. Most of the trans guys I've met are more understanding of women, because they usually used to identify as one, and therefore often grew up closer to girls, and generally have had more female friends. Most trans guys I know are open minded because they live their lives as something out of the norm, and are therefore generally more mindful with dealing with other minorities. And when I say that they are often more sensitive, I mean sensitive to others and in touch with their feelings (boys are generally not socialized to be sensitive or in touch with feelings, which girl often are).

Bottom line is that I'm just trying to have a little trans pride. Since much of the world look down on those of us who they think are different or less than, I should think that a in a trans forum such pride would be met with a bit more positivity. I'm sorry you've had such poor interactions with other trans guys. They have obviously been much different than mine. Try to be a little less angry with the people who are proud of who they are.

ByeBye

Since I've been mtftm and possibly back to f, I kind of consider myself a transgirl and a transguy at the same time. I noticed that my perspectives on Life changed as either gender. Everything was more peaceful and I was in pure peace and joy as a female.

Crashdown has said that some trans guys are jerks and I'm like well some cis guys are jerks too so why even differentiate?
