Interesting. I thought my little pony went out in the 80s. But perhaps I just stopped noticing them.

The New generation has been a lot better plot wise and much more popular among the older age range.

Oh god, it's everywhere. Recently on some other sites and games I've noticed random so-called "bronies" popping up. Usually they just get made fun of, but seriously this ->-bleeped-<- has to stop lol I really, really don't get this fad. It has to be one of the most mind boggling trends I've seen in a long...long time. I mean seriously...cartoon ponies...

Holy ->-bleeped-<-, I thought My Little Pony died off in the 80's.  My sister used to have heaps of the toy ones.  And I totally forgot about Rainbow Brite 'til someone mentioned it.

Made. My. Night.  Huge fan here, my favorite would have to be AppleJack or FlutterShy.  Anyone else guilty of loving the mane four as colts?  Butterscotch and Elusive FTW

So, fellow Bronies, what be your favorite episode?  I'm torn between Mare in the Moon and The Return of Harmony.  I just love the Star Trek and Star Wars references in the second but I also love Nightmare Moon in the first.

This thread prompted me to go watch the first episode. At first, I was unsure why it is so popular, but let's just say I'm loading the second episode now...

having watched Episode 3, I'm beginning to find characters I like. Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash I think I like most with a sprinkle of Apple Jack.

My favorite is Big Mac :'P. No mater how crappy things have gotten, I've never said this about anyone else. I wan't his life @_@! I would sell my Cheerios to the devil for it! D:< I'd say soul, but I'm afraid he'll actually show up and offer it :'P. Don't judge me, it's happened before! D:<

That's pretty much how I got into it as well. I was skeptical for a really long time because you know ... it's a children's show about ponies! How could I possibly like that? There wasn't even any nostalgic value in checking it out as I've never seen the original series either.

But then I was bored, and there was a pony video in my recommended videos on Youtube and I was like "oh why the hell not, I'll watch the first episode".

About an hour after saying that I had all of the episodes from season 1 on my computer.

My Little Pony was a revolutionary cartoon in that the product merch was created first, and then the show written around it - instead of the other way around.
