I have been looking through the forums and I am trying to find out which is better, injections or pill?  Which one is faster for changes or if there is any differance at all.

My Dr said he would give me injections after the specialist tells him what dosage so that I don't have to drive the distance again but in 2007 I was on pills?????

I've been on pills since 2005 and they work just fine but everyone Ive talked to says injections are better. I plan on switching some time in the near future to see.

Injections are easier on your liver. Seeing as how you will be doing this for the rest of your life, anything you can do to take some of the strain off your body is a good thing.

I do mine sublingually under my tongue  :)  thought about doing the injections, but I really don't like needles  :P

I do both, so it is less strain on my liver

There is no need to fear injections. I use insulin and it's no big deal to stick myself every day. So, if you are taking oral medications for fear of needles, don't give it a second thought.

I'm using injections and so far my results are great!

I'm looking into estrogen pellets now, my friend switched over from injections to pellets and she claims it's much more stable on her estrogen levels as it takes the pellets months to dissolve in your body.

I personally prefer injections, one shot once per week with estrogens and antiandrogens, it is easier than swallowing pills twice a day  ::)
Just that few seconds of little discomfort, but not worse than mosquito

Once a trans in our community told something so funny and she said "Injections are for the lazies while pills are for the cowards" LOL!

I do pills and my estrogen is sublingually under the tongue and the anti-androgen (spiro) is swallowed.

I've been on a variety of HRT methods for the past 4.5 years.  The majority of the time was spent on pills, and I also tried patches for a year or so.  I've been post orchi for a few years now and switched to injections 3 weeks ago.  Since switching to injections my breast growth, that has been stagnant for years, has taken off.  If I could do it all over again I would have started with injections.

Good to know.  Since reading the posts I am leaning more towards injections but will talk to my Dr. about all this as well.

This convinced me.. in a couple weeks when I see my doctor I'm going to ask to switch, too!
