Shot in the dark here. And yes, i give any of you all permission to hit me with something blunt for being so impatient >_>

I first told my councellor about my gender issues begining of December 2006. I managed to tell my GP end of January 2007 where she sent a letter refering me to the gender reasignment clinic. By the end of March 2007 i finaly received my letter from the clinic letting me know that i am on their list and they'll contact me in the near future (no idea when) about my first visit. Of course, not forgetting that the list to get into this clinic is huge!

I'm hoping to get into college this September and i have my interview with the course leader on the 16th of April where i'm going to explain my situation because i signed my application form using my female name.

So... New environment, new start to a career, new people. I want to use this as an excuse to introduce myself to new people as the guy i've always wanted to be, the guy i should have been born as. I'm wondering if there's any chance at all that i could start hormones before i go into college. I am hoping and praying soooooo much!!! What you reckon my chances are?

Cool and congrats. Dunno about timing. These things just wend their way through the hoops and best not to set dates for yourself that you don't have control over. You can always hope, but don't count on it.

I don't know how soon you could start. But they wouldn't have much of a noticable physical effect by September even if you started today, would they? (I'm asking, not stating.) They're hormones, not nanites/nanobots. I know you've talked about it being difficult, or feeling like it would be difficult, to pass without them. But if you just ARE the guy you should have been born as, people will see that.

Where are you? Here in LA there are legitimate doctors who think the Harry Benjamin Standards are long outdated and if you're got the bucks you can start right away. I've been on them since last July. But the LA is LA and a lot more liberal in a lot of these things. It does cost about $2,000 a year for it here.
