Demand that State Rep. of Tennessee Richard Floyd Resign

State Rep. Richard Floyd does not have the right to threaten transgendered women in his state. Hate speech like this should not be tolerated! Stop the cycle of hate now!

State Rep. Richard Floyd threatened to "stomp a mudhole" into any transgender woman who uses a public restroom in Tennessee. "Stomp a mudhole," according to Urban Dictionary, means "To tear someone a new ass, to beat them to near death or to otherwise hurt someone to the point that they can not fight back." We cannot tolerate such hate!

I live in TN and I have already signed that petition.  What I want to know is how can what he said cause some sort of ethics charge against him?

In 2010, Floyd ran unopposed for re-election to the Tennessee House of Representatives District 27.

You could wallpaper his office with petitions and he would not resign.  There is nothing the Governor can or will do.  There is nothing the State House of Representatives can or will do.  There is nothing any court of law can or will do.

You would do better to try and contest the seat next time around, and perhaps make him spend a little money to defend his seat.  Beyond that, all your indignation and $4 will buy you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.  Petitions are worthless.

Our world is full of Cretans like him. Interestingly it often seems that those who protest the loudest have some GLBTI issue in their own closet that they are not dealing with. I knew of a preacher that ranted loudly about the evils of homosexuality from his Sunday pulpit, his vitriol was unseemly and over-the-top. It turned out later that this same man, married with children secretly had multiple male sex partners and left in disgrace. We can rest in the understanding that eventually they are exposed and deposed, and rightly so!

Has anyone pointed out that if the word "negro" was substituted for transsexual he would have his backside kicked to Alaska?  Sounds like his middle initials should be K.K.K.
