I have finally taken things into my own hands. It's good to feel like change isn't do far off. So right now I just signed paperwork at my school's counseling center and now I am waiting for a lady or man to review it. I'm not even sure that they will give me an appointment today. I feel sorta like my heart is pounding a little. I feel safe though. They have a bunch of "safe zone" stickers for LGBT students.
Also they had a drop box for gender and one of the options was TRANS! So I filled that out and I put my name as my birth name though. So its kinda like blah. But I didn't want my records to get screwed up. I'm a little bit scared right now but hopefully things work out. I honestly don't even know why I am writing this. I just need to get it off my chest. And it makes waiting a LITTLE bit easier!!

Thanks!!!!

So yeah. The deed is done. A lady talked to me. Super awesome and hilarious. She basically old me that they can provide me with a referral. And next week I have an appointment with the counselor that shall get me started with everything. I really hope that the lady doesn't play gatekeeper. The lady I spoke to today told me about how some counselors require you to play the role of your desired gender for a while. I hope she doesn't make me do that. I have an extremely large chest and no money for a binder at the moment. It's impossible if people are seeing my chest for me to comfortably take the role of a male. I need T.
I guess I am a little sad that I still haven't had the first OFFICIAL appointment and that stuff might hinder me. I know I wasn't gonna get a shot in the butt today lol but some part of my imagination wanted so much more :(

Baby steps I suppose

I was in the exact same spot about a year ago, and it ended up going fairly well. It gets a lot better once the nerves pass.  Good luck!
Oh I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love

A blah blog

Thanks so much. It's amazing how different all of us are but we all end up having so much in common because of this Transition. The support is incredible

That's wonderful!  Have you thought of asking the guys on here if any of them would be willing to donate a used binder to you?

Nah! I think the binder should go to someone who REALLY can't get one. I'm not in a position where it would be impossible for me to get a binder :) But thanks!!!!!!
