It was actually easier than I thought. It didn't hurt much when they put the needle in (it was like getting poked by a thorn for a second) they only took about an OZ. of blood so it took maybe 2 or 3 minutes. It wasn't fun but it wasn't too bad either. If you are putting it off don't because it really isn't so bad and pinpricks are better than monthly doom.

Just posted this for randomness and to kinda help those who never had a blood test before (this was my first time)

I had blood drawn once before and that was when I was in 7th or 8th grade and I can still remember the pinch and it hurt.  I am always nervous to think about the surgeries and hormones because I know that I would need blood drawn but I will just have to suck it up and get over it I guess.  I'm sure that I've gotten a bit more tougher after some more depression, repression, and some dysphoric tension.  I just have to look the other way lol.

I used to not like getting my blood drawn or being injected with things, but I do my own injections weekly now and I get my levels checked so often that I figured I had to get over it.

I really don't mind so much anymore because it's become pretty routine.

I used to have blood tests on a monthly basis when I was on Accutane in grade 9. Or maybe that was for high cholesterol... I don't remember, I just know I used to get pricked monthly for a year or so. I like needles. Not in a creepy fetishy way but I get excited when I have to have one. Again, not sexually excited >.< I was five when I got the first needle I can remember and the doctor asked if I was scared; I said no and watched the whole time.

Yeah. I'm weird. In other words, taking hormones doesn't creep me out. Surgery, however, does. *shudders*
