Yes, agreed --- but now WHY would you keep on thinking a thought?

There is always an underlying motivation to do just that. And in a lot of cases you'd be SURPRISED about what ACTUALLY motivates you in continuing the thought -  the believe.

So, that statement is more like: "we only see the colour red because we continue to think it is red..."

Now some great revelation that is... though it might not be disputed.
