So meds finally came in and its Depo-Estradiol.

Now I'm ready to shoot myself up with wimmin, but I'm really lost on how to do it.
The only thing the nurse taught me was how to give the injection and how to tell someone else to give it to me.

But that's pretty useless info if i dont even know how to draw the liquid into the syringe correctly.

Did any of you learn how to do this via video? That'd be much easier.
If not then explain thoroughly :D

These are a couple pretty good sites that have instructions on injecting.

http://www.ehow.com/how_5690151_give-yourself-estrogen-injections.html

http://pcos.about.com/od/infertility/ht/IM.htm

I will try to find a site that gives some decent graphics of where to inject. And post it here.

If you have any further questions do not hesitate to ask.

Alright, the instructions says to draw air into the syringe before hand, doesn't state how much though. ???

I read everything else and it seems I got all that down already.

I've found this. Sadly, I can't seem to log into Imageshack so can only post the link.

If you need to know, you're doing IM injections. You should really only try to use these sites. Not your stomach, avoid your arms.

Remember, any questions, just ask.

OK, The reason it says draw air into the syringe is because many bottles are designed to hold several shots. These generally have a rubber stopper. You inject the same amount of air into the bottle as you intend withdrawing medicine.

But do not have air in the syringe before you inject.

OK?

Ohhh, alright.
I understand. :)

Sorry to disagree, but the directions spacial linked to are incomplete as I believe it is missing a step. The air you draw into the syringe and then push into the vial is merely to make sure you have as little air in the syringe as possible when you draw out the medicine. It doesn't really matter how much you push into the vial.

Also, you don't mention which kind of vials you have. If you have the kind with a glass top that needs to be snapped off, you should really use filter needles to withdraw the E to make sure you don't accidentally inject yourself with glass shards from snapping off the top. Also, there are vial openers that would probably be worth getting. Once you have enough E in the syringe, try to get big air bubbles out, but as long as you aren't injecting into a vein or artery, small air bubbles will not be a problem.

The missing step is to pull back on the syringe plunger once you have the needle in to make sure you haven't hit an arteriole or venule. If you see blood in the syringe when you pull back, withdraw the needle and use another injection site.

Try this link (he is injecting T but it's pretty clear and has all the steps) for videos and diagrams of injections sites (front of the thigh or buttock is best, avoid the lateral thigh since it's better not to have to penetrate the IT band, which is usually more painful):

That's great chrishoney. No worries at all.

Enjoyed the video and it was especialy ideal, coming from a fellow transisioner.

I'm sure JoeyD will be equally grateful. Can never have too much information.

Joey, you could have just asked me this.

Hmph.

:icon_surprised:

Actually, I don't care. Ask whoever you want - as long as you get the info you need, that's what's important.
Still seriously, I don't mind the questions you have asked me thus far.
I'm always glad to help and you don't have to worry about bothering me.
I think I harass you enough as it is.
Lulz.
Oh well.

And sorry, just couldn't resist posting this.
>_<
Meow.

Awh, you don't harrass me.
And actually the reason I didn't ask you was because I thought it was different for T lmao.
I don't even... why did I think that.
