Ugh. Long story. So I have been on a brand of testosterone for about 2+ years. I got my last shot in December, I think the 9th or something and I went to get a refill prescription and they told me it was on back order. I called again in January and the bitchy woman working said that they will get some in the end of the month. End of January I called yet again just to have a guy tell me that they are either on a huge back order or the company is no longer making that brand of testosterone.

So. I get my prescription from my family doctor since I moved to a different city away from my endo. She only gives it to me because she knows I was already on it and it works fine.

I called my endo and he told me the name of the replacement stuff since all the places in my hometown do not have that brand either. And then my family doctor wrote me the new prescription and faxed it to my pharmacy. That pharmacy didn't have the new stuff either. Ughjkghj and they couldn't give me the prescription back since it was faxed so I couldn't try any other pharmacy. Then at the same time my endo calls my doctor and now wants to see me next week so I booked a vacation day to go see him.

I'm worried because what if no place in my city has the testosterone? It's not like they can just give me whatever replacement since I'm assuming some steroids work differently depending if you have testicles or not. Since it is considered a street drug I can't just fill it in my hometown and then transfer it to my new one but going back there to get it will be a pain.

Anyway, basically is anyone else in Canada or where ever experiencing this?

I guess I am freaking out mostly because it's been almost 2 1/2 months and I really, REAAALLY don't want to get my period ughhgh hahah.

Sorry to hear this dude. Haven't had this happen to me but I can imagine it must be super frustrating. I'm in the states but remember hearing about testosterone shortages in Canada a couple months ago... not sure why though. Here's to hoping things get resolved sooner than later for ya.

I'm in Australia and don't know which product you're having trouble finding, but there's been a shortage here of Sustanon for months.

->-bleeped-<- really? I take delatestryl. It's really frustrating and kind of frightening. Have you switched brands because of it?

Sustanon didn't even come up as an option when my doctor was deciding what to prescribe me.  We decided to go with Primoteston Depot 250 mg, which is testosterone enanthate, the equivalent of Delatestryl.  I just had a read and it looks like there are heaps of different (mostly US-based) manufacturers of enanthate that market it under different names.  Could your pharmacy order a different brand then?  Also I've heard of guys switching from enanthate to Sustanon with no issues, so that may be an option.

Just take a deep breath. I was experiencing this last month actually. CVS and Walgreens were backordered on my testosterone and they didn't know when they would be getting it in. I called rite aid, and they had it in stock. Just have to call around man.. you should be fine.

Hey, I'm going through the exact same thing right now, in fact I was just about to make a post on it lol.

I've been on Delatestryl 1.5 years but have been having problems for about the past six months. Thankfully my last one did get filled and I've been halfing my doses just to make sure I don't run out cause I don't produce any hormones since my hysterectomy.

My endo is switching me to Depo Testosterone. But even that one is on back-order as well, and some places are only getting it in in pill form.  And they won't substitute unless you have a prescription specifically stating which one.

I even tried to order my T a week early, and thankfully I did because that's when they told me it ran out, some ->-bleeped-<- doctor sent like all his patients over there, since someone heard they accidentally over ordered it, only supposed to order 5 but ordered 50, so now they don't have it in for me.

I phoned a pharmacy and they had some in this morning, phoned again just now and it's all gone. I would of picked it up but my stupid doctor seems to be screwing around with faxing the prescription... and I don't see him again until May.

I might just have to spend all of tomorrow making phone calls to various pharmacies just to find it. I'm thinking about just buying it illegally at this point but I don't want to get something that's mixed and I'm a little sketchy on taking steriods, though it seems fairly easy to purchase them online - and they say testosterone enanthate... I don't know. This honestly sucks balls dude.

I don't know why this is happening or what we're supposed to do about it.  Also once you get it filled at one place you have to keep getting your refills there which sucks! And my doctors making me find the pharamcy! So I have to find one that has it in stock, then they have to fax them for the prescription but they keep running out before I can even do that, and i'ts driving me insane.

Are the only injectable forms of T in Canada Delatestryl or Depo?  Does Canada not have Sustanon or the long-acting IM Reandron/Nebido?

I'm not sure about T, but I know here in the states we've been having random medication shortages due to limits on manufacturing.  Its something I've come across with my far less important prescriptions.  I get my T mail order though, and have never had an issue.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

Maybe you could switch to a topical for a bit?

Yeah I think we only have the two, I haven't heard of any others.

I thought that too, but then it is expensive.

Wow, that's unfortunate :/

Yeah it's really odd. I got switched to Depo but the pharmacy didn't have it either and won't let me take the script anywhere else. It is so frustrating. So I see my endo next week so hopefully I can maybe get a new prescription or something else from him.

I'm in Canada and am on Delatestryl too. I just ran out, and a few weeks ago when I went to the pharmacy for a refill they said they couldn't get any and advised me to ask my doctor to prescribe Testosterone Propionate instead. My doctor is unfortunately out of the office, but he is returning this week and I will let you know if my pharmacy has gotten a hold of him and gotten me an alternate prescription. I hope so, because I inject weekly, and I just used up the last of my Enanthate today.

Just sending best wishes to you guys. I know most folks don't have the opportunity to have a backup vial, so when you're out, you're out.

There is a canada-wide shortage on Delatestryl and has been for about 4 months now. It was supposed to be resolved by January but it wasn't. Most people are switching to the other kind, Depo-testosterone and because of high demand it is hard to find as well. I just had this issue when trying to fill a 'script recently...

I got my prescription changed from Delatestryl to Depo and still had to call about 10 pharmacies until I found one that had it, and I got the last vial.

That is correct... the only forms of injectable T in Canada are those two.

We've had some T shortages in the UK since about October/November and I went through a whole hassle trying to find a replacement for Sustanon 250 and the only options available were pills, gel or long-acting Nebido - they were out of stock on all types of short-acting IM injectable testosterone. I switched to gel and actually my skin and mood stability have both improved. Hope you find a replacement soon, good luck.
