When deciding to transition, I found watching some of the Trans girls videos on Youtube extremely inspiring and in some way they offered some hope for what is generally the "great unknown" for most of us.

It would be interesting to know how helpful these videos have been.  There are a variety of blogs available from different trans women of different ages and backgrounds.  I have started a vlog and I hope i can provide some insight to others.  If you have any questions please do feel free to ask.  I am still a "newbie" when it comes to transitioning  :)

Hey, im still new to this whole thing too but here goes...

Theres a load of videos/tutorials and what-not on Youtube and they've been a god-send! Growing up as a boy with two brothers, I definetly stayed away from make-up, different hair styles, the dreaded eyebrows:P, taking care of my skin and all the other intrinsic parts that seem to define living as a woman so I have to say, all those types of videos have been EXTREMELY helpful! I'm still in 'stealth' mode so learning how to do these things privately in the comfort of my own home has been much less stressful and much more fun than I would have imagined! Sure theres been a load of disasters and i've looked daft on occassion, but this way is much easier and less traumatic than summing up the courage to go to a beauty salon, or hair dressers and asking stuff there.

Also, the MTF transistion videos on there, as well as the ladies who have posted their before and after pics on here, have helped immensely with my self-confidence and determination to finally start my very own change. I know that if I end up being a fraction as beautiful as some of them, I know i'll be a happy bunny  :) Im not getting my hopes up just yet, but still, a gal can dream!

Thank you. That was interesting.

I found the sound really difficult to hear. When have some spare cash, you might think of buying a small microphone.

But you sound great, you look great and your mannerisms are so natural. I wanted to hug you.

Take care Jenna. Thanks again

I do agree that there are some really good videos on YouTube.

I used to visit Kira when she lived close by. She had been using makeup most of her life and I was totally intimidated by the idea not knowing where to start. She took me shopping and we got all the items necessary to transform my guy face into that of a quite passable woman. We spent hours at her condo doing makeup and getting all girly. It was very helpful, although I don't use makeup and live in androgynous mode now. There are some wonderful makeup tutorials as well as many other helpful tutorials that are extremely helpful in bringing you up to speed with all the girly-girl tricks to be a success.

MTF videos on YT are one of my most watched types...also "how-to" makeup...and kitten/cat videos.

Definitely inspiring.  :) "Thanks!" to all who've posted something there.

...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...
