Today on Powertalk with Lorraine Jacques-White we discussed the growing trend of children being allowed to have a sex change.  In many states lawmakers are considering giving children the freedom to have a sex change as early as the age of 8. Many doctor support this law, and think it will be beneficial for the children and parents.

A small but growing number of teens and even younger children who think they were born the wrong sex are getting support from parents and from doctors who give them sex-changing treatments, according to reports in the medical journal Pediatrics.

A growing trend is a bit of an exaggeration. But 'Many States??' New one on me. Anyone else heard this?

QuoteBorn a girl, the child announced at 18 months, "I a boy" and has stuck with that belief.

Seems a bit young to be talking so fluidly, but whatever.
