At the time it was, " okay, guess I really didn't expect to feel anything straight away, but seems like I have taken the first big step on a journey."
I felt a little bit queasy over the next couple of days, but it soon passed.  After about a week or so I started to feel a sense of calm, and overall happiness.  Despite a couple of setbacks associated with moving interstate, homesickness, and being alone in a new town, this has remained. 
The Depression I had been suffering for the 40 or so years leading up to Transition, which had markedly reduced after that, has completely gone.
