What does your weight have to do with HRT?  Maybe there would be a concern if you were obese but I've never heard of any doctor requiring one to gain weight as a prerequisite for starting HRT.
When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.

Being underweight is as big a problem as being overweight.  Size zero at 5' 7" is extremely skinny and I suspect your therapist is concerned that you are developing an eating disorder.  They possibly also fear that you are not getting enough crucial nutrients for HRT. Perhaps if you keep a food diary to show her you are eating properly, she may change her mind.

like i eat alot of food but i just have a fast matabilism and she wont listen to me she keeps listening to my dad, mom tries to tell her that im eating a good portion of food and my dad just keeps trieing to make her think im starving myself and hes been trieing to convince her to not put me on HRT he even threatened to sue her if she gave me a letter to give to a doctor for the prescription

Sorry, you ARE going to put on weight anyway, if you take HRT. That's the reality of it I'm afraid.

I'm 5'7 and weigh 130-135, it varies, and I'm far from obese..

The thing about hourglasses is, eventually more of the sand runs to the bottom :). If you think being over a size 0 is being obese, then maybe you do have an issue with weight.

I was about 130 when I started.. I haven't really gained, but it has moved around.. Some of the clothes I had when I started don't fit quite the same any more..

I can understand you wanting to stay the shape you are, if you're happy with it - but at the same time bodies do change as we get older, and once we're past our teens, it's going to round out anyway. So you may not be able to hang onto your current weight and shape healthily in the future.

I think you'll find there are a reasonable percentage of men in this world who are attracted to women above a size 0 :). Fret not.

Pretty much that.

I'm a size 1. Planning on putting more weight,  to a healthy range of course

Its ridiculous you think guys aren't interested in girls who aren't a size 0.
If I was a guy I'd like a girl who actually had something to grab.
Not to say that personality isn't important either.

I have been concerned with your projected image issues since your first post.

You want us to tell you how you look, then you want us to tell you HRT is ok if you are under weight. We're not doctors. At least, not YOUR doctor.

If LOOKS matter more than health for you, your shrink may be on to something.

If HRT will not help you with your particular obsession with image (look obsession up if you think I am being trite) you should deal with it before going on your journey.

Size 0 is not a size.

I share your height. I've also, shared Kelly's minimum weight. It was unhealthy on T.

Your shrink isn't going to send you to a doctor if they fear they will be blamed for your potential health catastrophe.

Shrinks like their jobs... they like helping people. They do not want to lose either.

Nor would I.

Aloha,
Tori

i dont want to get this thread deleted like my other one did so please dont get mad or offended to wat im saying cause nothing im saying is meant to offend anyone but wat bout all those models and victoria secret models that are size 0. like i wanna be like them and i wanna look like them, but ur accually rite i will admit that i am obsessed wit my face and body i wanna  look as perfect as i can. but  my ribs arnt showing yet so idk im guessing that im the perfect weight for my body. but my gender therapist also looks obese so  it kinda makes me mad that she can tell me to gain weight wen shes a hamberger away from obese

Exactly.

Obsession.

Shrinks know obsession better than they know GD.

And touché... for the indirect, "Needs to lose weight" comment. It was clever and thinly veiled.

Runway models are fantasy. Hormones won't fix fantasy.
