I'm from Lincolnshire in Great Britain!

A few years ago i was in a very bad state, i dropped out of college, claimed benefits, had a gambling and drinking problem. Then when i was 18 i was sectioned because of a suicide attempt.

Ever since, i've been trying to fix the things in my life. I enrolled back into College, and i'm going to university in September . I lost tons of weight, i was 16 stone when i was 18. I'm now 12 stone and i'm 20. I'm still losing too! :3

I've always felt like a girl, but never really understood it. I was very ignorant about the whole transgender concept, and didn't think for one minute that it could be applied to myself until very recently. I was watching a documentary about transgendered people and found myself relating to so much about them. Loads of memories started surfacing, lots of thoughts started to seep through the denial and i realized that this may be the source of my depression.

I've been reading through this forum for a few days, and have found it very interesting and motivational. I'll try my best to post here, and update my profile when/if i start transitioning, and maybe i can inspire future transgendered people.

Sorry it's so long, even if people don't read it, it was nice to write.

As for the gender stuff, let that unfold at its own speed - it's just who you are, and taking the time to let that emerge is time well spent. I know, stuff that's been buried a long time causes a lot of ripples as it's surfacing. Be kind to yourself, and all that .
