This is just a suggestion but could the extreme sluggishness of the servers be due to the number of super large bloated threads that currently annoy everyone?.  The threads I am thinking of are 'What made you sad/happy' and 'you look fabulous...' and that one by disco shark.   I am trying to determine what type of server the forum has.  I suspect it maybe a Windows server and they are....

This is a known issue by Susan and the fix is ongoing.
(the server runs Linux)

Linux that is good to know.   Linux is very secure and reliable.   I pinged Susans but I could only get the IP address of Cloudfare.
