Tolley reveals ignorance about gender identity

Corrections Minister Anne Tolley has told Parliament that "a man who is transgender, but pre-surgery, is still a man".

She was being grilled in Parliament today over a Corrections Department policy to house transgender prisoners based on their sex at birth, unless they have had full gender reassignment surgery.

Tolley also denied transgender inmates are vulnerable to sexual abuse and sexual assault in prison, and stated she will not consider changing the Corrections' housing policy.

NZ has many idiosyncratic people but this one is out of the dark ages...unless she is a dyke...who doesn't read prison incident reports..  etc.

Wiki shows she may not be a dyke but likes the public purse and also uses her position for dubious ctivites...in other words a typical politico...but stupid.
