wow, just been out for the night with a few people from my course (awesome awesome tunes playing  8)) and one of the girls was a bit drunk and took me aside and said that she's worried about me as I seem very down and that everybody could see I'm not really a girl and that I was more man than woman (I'm not woman at all, I said ) and that she wants me to accept myself and start living as I want to not how i feel everyone wants me to. Apparently the whole class know I'd rather be seen as male (yet, I'm still called girl and she etc  :-\ so that was surprising)and according to this girl nobody would care or give me crap if I wanted to go to class etc as male officially. She also said she wants me to come into class on Monday as a guy properly
It's funny how some people can just read you so well aint it? We're not even that particularly close. Also funny how these things are only said to me when people are drunk heh

i'm just stunned tbh! I hope that was all true and not just drunken babbling  :-\ and wondering how I can do the asking people to call me male pronouns and a male name whilst my family are pretty unknowing. Feel guilty thinking about doing that but I know it may help me feel a bit better :S (I live away for university) also worried about suddenly one day waking up and feeling ok with my female body and assigned gender (I feel this is unlikely but i'm a never say never type guy! :()

I'm still mulling all this over in me head lol

Don't know whether to approach the subject again to discuss it further or just leave it as they might not remember saying it at all

schism

alcohol drops all inhibitions.  it's more likely that she's splurging from a place of drunken honesty rather than babbling randomly, but instead of just coming in on monday as male, i would talk openly about it with the rest of your class to discover how they feel.  it's possible that they're uncertain and awkward about how to approach it and unsure what you want.  people don't just switch pronouns on a hunch, they're probably waiting for you to come to them and ask.

My friend's gave me the exact same talk haha. I'm meeting them for lunch today as a guy for the first time.
They've even offered male pronouns and promised to do their best.

I hope your class does the same! I'm living out of home too and I can't tell my family yet, but I think it would be ok just in your class.
Be brave! :D This is a big step! I wish you the best of luck.

Tell us how it went?

I good friend of mine said the same sort of thing to me, which was one of the main reasons I started living full time pre everything. I was dressing very andro/strongly leaning towards fem but was still very clearly male. She said "Look everyone knows you want to be a woman. This halfway stuff is weirding us out. You need to just start being a woman OK?" and she was perfectly sober :P
