I think I'll discard this facade of masculinity and go buy a frock

http://carolyn-ann.blogspot.com/2012/03/i-think-ill-discard-this-facade-of.htmlAnyway, I was thinking of buying skirts. Something I used to do with enthusiasm. So let's take my skirt-buying experiences and see how it fits into the "transsexual separatist" experience. :-)
Macy's has a rather large store at Broadway and 34th St. You might have heard of it? Anyway, there's about one section of the ground floor dedicated to menswear (on the 7th Ave side) and a gazillion (entire) floors dedicated to women's wear. It's quite a site! The 3rd floor even has a coffee bar in case you need some respite and refueling. It is, it has to be said, short on seating. To discourage lingering... And who'd want to linger with those wonderful designs <snark>in sizes fit for a pin </snark> on display?!?
So there's little ol' me, wandering around in some finery, trying to resist the urge to try on a size 10 (years ago, dear, years ago...). The skirts that fit moi are on the 7th. The men's changing rooms are on the 1st. I think. I've never actually seen them, so I can't say for certain if they actually exist.
