The last compounding pharmacy in my area just closed down ): and none of the mainstream pharmacies I checked out in my area carry T. I guess not enough people need it.

So for those of you on T: is there a mainstream pharmacy I can find it at? I may have overlooked something. And failing that, websites? I know Stroheckers is or was thrown around a lot as a good place to get T but I'd rather avoid buying online if at all possible. I would just feel more secure picking it up from a pharmacy since it's so important.

Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Kroger, Publix, Winn-Dixie.  Those are the major ones I can think of.  None of those have any T?

Also Strohecker's isn't purely online.  They have an actual pharmacy in Portland and you don't order it online.  You have to either mail it or have you doctor fax/call it in. 

I assume you're in America.  Do you mean they don't have it on hand or won't carry it ever?  Because my pharmacy never keeps T in stock, but orders it for me and has it the next day.

APS pharmacy in florida.  You can order over the phone, it is mail order, but I've never had a problem getting the T from them in a timely manner.

I go to a MOMS Pharmacy in the gay district. They're cheap, and they have lots of T on hand for the HIV/AIDS patients. How far are you willing to drive?

I worked in a pharmacy for about two years, and we always had T in stock in patches, creams, and injections. It really isn't that rare of a script to see when you work in a pharmacy. So, pretty much any major chain will have it like Adio mentioned. In an absolute worst case scenerio you can call the pharmacy in the local hospital. They are under utilized since most folks don't know you can get prescriptions filled at them, and since it is a hospital, they have pretty much any medication someone would need.

My nearby Rite-Aid didn't have it, and they quoted an exorbitant price to get it. And there's a compounding pharmacy right across the street that doesn't do T. I was pretty surprised. Hmm, thanks guys. I checked Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid and all they said they could give me were the needles. That's cool but not really what I'm going for. XD Maybe there just aren't enough people who need T in my area.

I didn't think of it but I should have mentioned that yeah, I'm in the US and if we want to be more specific southern CA. If any of you guys are close and know of a good place I'd appreciate the address or something.

I get mine from the Costco pharmacy.  You don't need a membership to use the pharmacy.   I did have to wait 1 day for them to order it in, but it's also the cheapest around for me.

I just got a new vial at Bioscript pharmacy --- it's also a place that was a pharmacy created for the GLBT community & AID's folks.  I know they ship all over the USA but it's just down the road from me so I pick it up.

Really?? That is crazy to me. I mean, T is used for a lot of different treatments for guys. But, then again, some places refuse to carry Plan B, which also blew me out of the water when I found out that the temp pharmacist we had refused to dispense it. But, I am glad you found a pharmacy that you could get it from.

Is there a Kroger store near you? I go to Fred Meyer up here and their policy is very trans friendly. At least, the Fred's up here is.

Yeah, Costco might be a good option, too. You don't have to be a member to use their pharmacy. The T is usually cheap--in my experience, not as cheap as MOMS or Strohecker's--but the price varies a little, which is weird.

I ran into problems at one Costco when I went to get a refill. The pharmacist gave me the third degree and told me that he shouldn't refill the prescription (I think because he thought T is a Level II controlled substance), blah, blah, blah...and, guess what, he was either lying or incompetent. T is Level III. He was making me out to be some kind of drug addict or something.

It's quite possible that he just had a moral objection and was trying to prevent me from getting my scrip. I was still early in transition; maybe he clocked me. Anyway, I got the refill and started using Strohecker's and later MOMS.

I suppose that this sort of thing can happen at any pharmacy, but now I'm cautious about getting my T at Costco. Once burned.

Costco is closer than the nearest MOMS pharmacy I found. There's a Costco about six miles from here and for once a year, that's not bad at all. XD I've gone farther than that in search of a pencil once.

I haven't been clocked since I cut my hair. Woo~ but there was this one incidence at the grocery store. I was there with my father and this one cashier lines and lines away just goes, "Oh teach her your business!" like he was part of the conversation/like people gave a ->-bleeped-<-. But I think that's more him recognizing my features than not passing. Anyway, I ramble.

Wow, I can't even imagine... I found 4 pharmacies that had my T when I was living in a county of 25,000 people with no cities for miles around!
