i got my surgery done 2 years back. but after surgery i am so confused about my harmone therapy.. should i continue it or not? my endocrinologist told me to do a test, then she changed my medicine, now i am taking premarin (estrogen) and finast as anti-androgen.  sometimes i feel that charm is going somewhere but my friends says its just in ma mind, being a woman now u tend to get changes in ur body. girls pls do suggest me...

For the rest of your life. I used to take Premarin, they switched me now to Progynova, that may happen from time to time, people screwing about with your meds. :)

Definitly continue. You still need estrogen baby. That only comes from the hormones you take. If you don't take it your boobs may shrink, your body might not be as shapely, your energy levels might dive and you are at greater risk of osteoporosis (brittle bones).

Now your adrenal glands do produce some testosterone. I still take a testosterone blocker, but my endo says this is just to help things along. It is not stricktly nessesary.

Now it has changed because you no longer have all this testosterone flooding your system. That changes the balance of the meds you need. For some that means a reduction in estrogen and no testosterone blocker. For others you stay on about the same.

Trust you endo. They are using your blood tests to guide how to treat you and that is a good thing.

Interesting fact about Premarin, They get the female hormones from pregnant female horse wee. - lol just a little thought.

It's interesting that your endo has put you on Premarin.  I thought that the general consensus of endos these days is to shifting towards "naturally occuring" estrogens such as Progynova due to the nature of the hormones from Premarin.

Do trust your endo, but don't hesitate to bring it up.  Some form of sex hormone is needed in the system to maintain things - in particular, preventing early osteonecrosis.

Yeah, you tend to put on a little more padding with hormones.

Breast growth is pretty slow for most of us unfortunately. There are a lot of natal women out there with little boobs too. Most of them disguise it. Seems like most of the bras are padded these days.
