[just finished crying...unreal]

I was straightening out a bookshelf and I saw a certain book given to me some time back, by my soon-to-be ex spouse.

I was in a good mood today, but then I opened the cover of the book and read her dedication to me:

"To my loving husband, just because he is my loving husband!"

And I just lost it totally.   :'(

You know, I've been throwing things out and 'streamlining' my things in anticipation of my moving into an apartment and every now and then, I would find a greeting card saved or a photograph...

And it's just torture to find these things.

LORD!!! If I could only take a pill and make the TS simply depart from me!!!

I'm keeping nothing of our years together; it is just too painful to retain these mementos.

UNREALLLLL   :'( :'( :'(

You should give them to her, they are the testament to the love you two shared, the same passion for life. They're still true today as they were then, the love you gave can never been taken back. It's just you found another love to pursue, and it does require you two to part. It's sad to see things change, but it's how all things grow. Just remember that as you move forward in life. :3

awwww, Rhonda.  :icon_hug:

:'( :'( :'(It would seem that this crying spell is going to be of some duration...)

I found myself asking to no one, "What did I do to deserve this???", but it's not a rational question.

The etiology of it arises from pure emotion, completely void of intellectual process...

A mere verbal, emotive ejaculation bereft of substance or pertinence...

You know, you're doing fine and then you essentially get 'blindsided' by an unexpected memento or recollection...

and then you just lose it.

I'm beginning to think that we as a group, 'hold the corner' on suffering.  :'(

I know that feeling Rhonda...like when I found the book my wife gave me, Why a Daughter Needs a Dad

Am I doing what is right for my family? It feels bad that I'm taking that away...it threw me into a funk.

Rhonda

I know Rhonda. I know.

Just yesterday, I was working on my soon-to-be stepdaughter's computer and she had been going through a box which we had in storage.

She walked in after a while and asked me if I wanted our wedding pictures. I just totally lost it and went into the bedroom...

And I cried into my pillow, hugging it to my chest for a good while.

"The Wound is Still Fresh."   :'(
