Oh please.
Let me get straight to the point here, and I am sorry if I come out as being rude. It is a bit late and I have a few things that must be said and this point must come across for all involved with this height issue.
I am about 5'10'' tall. I am actually 1,81 meter tall, or 181 cms. This has never had any influence on my passability at all, and I often run into women who are taller than I am. I wear my heels, I wear my dresses and I wear my spaghetti straps tops, sometimes I even go out without makeup when I am in a rush and I pass. Sometimes, though not always, I still pass after presenting my ID with a male name on it, because there is no gender marker here in Brazil.
There are other things you tall girls should be worrying about. First off, drop this insane surgery because it is not necessary. Just don't do it and save the money for therapy, because most transwomen need therapy to accept the issues we face. Begin training your voice to sound feminine and look around for a endo to begin your HRT. If you don't have a stable job, get one while you are at it and I almost forgot, search around for where you want to do laser for facial hair removal.
Find friends too and try to keep your family supportive.
This is what must be done and what you should worry about Zoey. You should not worry about being around my height, because I am about as tall as you and I pass and I even do things that make me look taller than that, such as wearing heels. And yes, I wear heels commonlym in everyday bussiness. Being smaller won't suddenly make you pass, because there is no passing magic potion or magic surgery. Passing is about the whole, the whole of you. Because you either are a woman to people or you arent, so it is the whole package. Follow the correct steps to pass and you will manage sooner or later, keep looking for magical fixes and you are certain to find a charlatan who will abuse of you.
