After you are on HRT, and your hormonal levels are in a female range, working out will impact muscular growth in the same manner it would to any other female. Guys get more muscles because of T, once that has been taken care of, you won't get so much growth.
I have let my muscles fade away after I began HRT and now I do the same amout of work the other girls do at the gym and get similiar growth, actually, sometimes I wish I could get MORE growth. My upper body strenght is in the weak range even for females. With this said, if you are an athlete you can expect to get some bulk, in the same manner other women do. It also depends on your genetics.
Just have patience and you will be fine.
