Hi all.  My name is Mackenzie.  I am new to the community here.  I live in the Deep South - Mississippi and am trying to navigate through this confusing world.  Finding support, a doctor, a therapist is proving to be one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.

I need help!  Any advice, information, or help you may have I could use.

I have been going to therapy, but my therapist said I need to see someone that specializes in Gender issues.  Then she said she cannot find anyone to refer me to, so I am on my own.

What do I do.  What are my options?  ADVICE ANYONE?

You can always try therapists who also specializes through skype, phone, etc.

Try Dr. Carol Clark. She was my therapist and she is awesome.

I live where you live. :)  Along the coast, there's a psychologist/therapist that has dealings with gender related issues, but I forgot her name.  She's in Gulfport and that's all that I really know.

I second looking into online sessions.

In the meantime, there is an awesome group that offers support to everyone in the LGBT community. :)  We meet once a month in Gulfport though there is also a meeting in Jackson.  The group is the MS Rainbow Alliance.

I hope you can find all of what you're looking for!  I know it's rough in MS, but can be done.

Thank you all so much for the info!

Lynn.  I am north of Meridian it would be easier to go to Memphis than the coast.  I did see the one at the Gulf Coast earlier.  Going to check out online therapist now!

Lots of locals around then!  Will be in Memphis in a few weeks, but always loved Collierville.

Hi and welcome from the Deepest South at the bottom of the world. :)  Love the accent from that part of the US too.
Looks like you are off to a flying start with the info the girls have come up with already.   Hope to see more of you.
