ok, here goes nothing..hey, I'm going to a course friend's wedding reception soon and ordered a few things online. The  suit jacket and trousers arrived just now and I took a few pics as I'm not sure whether to go with them or not. tbh the pics aren't great because I hastily put everything on without properly taking care over shirt tucking etc. (that shirt is an old one i just put on to see how the jacket looks with a shirt). I also mayyy get a waistcoat for it (if i can find one thta vaguely matches) as I reckon the white needs broken up even with the tie?

ps. I know the sleeves need taken up :p but any other alterations you guys can see that need done? or reckon I should return to shop? and does the tie go with it? Also, to stay on topic, does my suited up figure pass as male? I don't want to look like a butch lesbian in a suit (no offence!) but I also can't do much about my overly curvy butt and hips in the short time between now and the wedding (I've started  working out properly recently though)

el capitan: the suit jacket looks kinda big on you, not jus the sleeves but also the front/back area. i cnt really see the pants but it seems like slightly looser fitting pants might go with the jacket better

I agree. I'm pretty sure it's because of your shoulders. Men's suit jackets used to do that to me too.

they were the trousers that came with the jacket. hmm I don't really see what you mean abpout it looking too big to be totally honest  it doesn't feel very roomy at all lol and I have a feeling it would be too small if i went for the size below

hmm my shoulders fit into the suit shoulders though (I was actually chuffed with that when I first tried it on lol as many mens shirts don't sit near my shoulders very well at all) if that's what you mean?

I asked people I know aswell using those same photos and these are the first conflicting views so I'm pretty confused about what to do ie. return or alter slightly and keep heh

I feel I should post because I finally got my hair cut into a mohawk, and I am so excited with how it turned out! It is a bit thicker than a usual mohawk and for the most part I plan on keeping it unstyled and fairly long, because I've tried the spiking thing before and it drove me crazy because I got a bit of a compulsion for making it look just right. This is so much easier. Anyways I am curious to see whether or not I still pass. I think so, but sometimes I find I end up in the more androgynous category.

It really looks good on you man! You definitely pass to me. And since it's thicker than a usual mohawk, it makes you more unique!
By the way, this is my first post on Susan's as I'm still new to this site and the trans community in general. I'm J, hope to make new friends here (:
