I was at Salleys buying some stuff for school, and the lady greeted me with "Hey hun". I was looking for stuff for an extra long time and then she said "Would you like some help, dear?" I asked for her help and went to check out. When I checked out, I had to give her my ID. My ID was taken about 10 days before I started HRT. Needless to say, I was easily ID'd as male on that picture. She looked at it extra hard, gave a look like *There's no way this is that person*, raised the ID to look at me, looked at my debit card to check to see the names matched, and got a smirk on her face like *weirdo*. Her demeanor totally changed from sweet and helpful to "Here you go, now leave".
Well, I had to go back in to get some more supplies. This time she dropped the "hun" "dear" "sweetie" nouns, and treated me like someone would normally treat a guy.
Coincidentally, that's the first time I've ever gotten that look, too! And I don't mind it at all in that particular instance!
PS.. I was wearing male clothing!
