Quick question for you all since I couldn't find anything on Google or on here (granted, it's really easy to miss things using the built in search function. It's not all that in-depth). I've identified as asexual for as long as I can remember. I was just curious what the effects of estrogen would be on my sexuality, if I decide that's the right course for me. I saw some threads on here that lead me to believe that it can (keyword) sway you more towards guys, but I haven't found anything about the effects on someone who isn't attracted to any gender at all. Anyone have any idea?

I was into guys before e, had a low sex deive and no real spontaneous desire to have sex. Now i cant stop thinking about them :P
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

I liked guys before too. Just was really uncomfortable with my body so had trouble dating :P

I would think about sex more before. But I still think about it a lot (just, now I am more focused on the closeness of it).

Just depends, it really hasn't changed for me, I'm still mostly asexual after 8 years of hrt. I suppose it could still change after srs, but that will be a while and I'm not going to assume it will.

Thanks for the insight. I appreciate it. Not sure if I like the answer, though. I'd really like to have some kind of sexual attraction or urge, but at the same time, my relationships with men in the past have made it hard to connect with them and I was afraid someone with more experience would say it triggered attraction towards them.

Thanks again.

Right now, I'm going through a lot so I don't want to blame it all on hormones. I think stress can affect you and other things outside of HRT. There are so many parameters that can play into lack of a sex drive. I have always been attracted to females more than men. I would say 10 for women and maybe 2 for guys.  LOL  Being on HRT for quite a while hasn't really changed this. In fact, I love to read lesbian love stories now, whereas before it was just about the pics. I am so incredibly attracted to my wife. I love thinking romantic thoughts of both of us. So, I think it just depends on YOU.  I know some people have lost their sex drive on HRT, but I think it's just a mix of things why that might happen. Sometimes, it's the HRT and other times it isn't.

Even though E is supposed to reduce sex drive, some actually experiment the contrary. It may be a physical effect of unknown origin or a psychological one entirely.

But either way, sexual attraction is partly psychological. If you feel better with yourself, want to try it and are with someone you love, it might as well come on its own even if you have to force your body a little in the beginning.
