If you're transgender and live in California, it is important that you know your rights.  Please take a few minutes to get familiar with the following links which have very important information that every transgender person living in California should know. FYI these links are updated monthly.

That's the big reason I want to move to California.  I like to call it running away from the oppression in S.C. where we don't even have hate crime laws I don't think.

yep...victims rights are a huge thing here! they are constantly cracking down on priests, kids sport coaches, and crimes against LGBT folks.

A regular law abiding person has to be real careful with what they say and do to not be charged with said crimes, it appears at least in the evening news stories they charge first and sort it out later a lot of the times.

LOL this thread is some serious necromancy, but I always liked that sort of magic so i am not complaining.

What I find odd is I keep going to California, in fact, it looks like I will be there again by tuesday. Maybe a higher power is telling me to move there LOL. It would be nice to live in a state where I could have protections from employment discrimination, in the transportation industry the culture is very anti lgbt in general, and the only large companies that I can think of that need cdl drivers that also have a good nondiscriminaton policy are coke, Pepsi, and waste management.

Wow that's a lot more than here.  In another county not too far away from me a male was shot in the head for being gay and the person who did it claimed that "he didn't mean to" so he only got about 12 months and a day in Prision because there aren't any hate crime laws in place.

It is a factor in what makes it so desirable, which is also part of what makes it more expensive and so highly competitive.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...
