Right now I pass 99% of the time... Until I speak! It's incredibly frustrating. I have spoken to everyone in my support group and because I am FtM the general reaction is that I don't need therapy because once I got on hormones my voice will drop anyway. But thing is I am going to college and I want to be able to pass as much as possible and my voice is the only thing stopping me from passing adequately and I have at least a year if not more before I got on hormones. The general gist I have got from my doctors as well is that they do not offer any voice therapy for FtMs as they specialize only for MtFs and those with speech disorders. It is extremely frustrating that I can not find any private voice therapy that I can use in my area. There is someone at group who is seeing an MtF voice therapist in the area but refuses to give me her details since I am FtM and she doesn't think that her therapist would deal with an FtM client.

The nearest I could do is singing lessons- So he's the question! In your opinion; Would this help with voice control/lowering my voice? Or would it be more singing so deepening my voice-wise would it be more likely to be a waste of time and money? :)

There are voice therapists for trans men, or general people who want to speak lower. One major piece of input that can make things easier is to talk less. Be really brief when you speak.

The main reason they've got coaches for MtFs and not FtMs is that it's safer to make your voice higher than it is to make it lower.  Forcing your voice much deeper can seriously hurt your vocal chords.  You can talk from your diaphragm, which will make it sound stronger, and you can work on getting rid of the inflection and talking from *near* the bottom of your range, but not always from the very bottom and definitely don't try to force it any lower than is comfortable.  It's dangerous.  I know it sucks because I'm in the same boat-- I pass 99% until they hear me talk.  But we just gotta wait for T.
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity.

If it's alright, then you're all wrong.

Do a search on youtube for 'Boom Your Voice', it's about the safest way that you can go about this, and it's something that you can do without shelling out cash. As Devin said though, don't force this too much! Forcing your voice lower can do a lot of damage.

If you follow the video and do the exercises daily, and for a long while, it should have a noticeable impact on your voice; it's all about strengthening/training the muscles your throat uses to produce the sounds at the lower end of your existing register. But for goodness sake be gentle! :P

For males, it's all about projection from the guts so to speak - you're going to want to try and make sorta rumbliness from the chest.  As with all voice work, be gentle about it or else you're going to risk damaging your voice.

As others have said though, give the T time to work, the voice will eventually drop.

Boom your voice can damage your voice.
People do things everyday that can damage their voice. Once example is yelling/screaming; it strains your vocal cords and yet people do it without even thinking about it.
If a bio-male was uncomfortable with his voice because it was extremely high and was using the "boom your voice" to lower his voice, would you discourage him from doing it? If so, what alternative would you suggest to him? If you have one, you probably should have provided it, because negating everyone else's suggestion without one of your own is kind of unhelpful.

In my opinion, "Boom Your Voice" is still legitimate suggestion for someone who is in a jam and is looking to do anything to pass.

Well, with that sort of option there's always smoking.

There is voice therapy. I did meet a guy once who had a sort of mickey mouse voice. He was also the manager of a hotel which ended up getting bad reviews because he would say that the manager's name is (male name) they would ask to speak to the manager, and he would say he was the manager.

That's one of the voice therapists I know of that helps transgender men, and generally AFAB people who want deeper voices. There are some things listed under "voice masculization" which are suggestions of things to aim for.

If you want to increase the masculine features of your communication, chances are good that you can achieve your goal. Hormones often change the pitch sufficiently. If you have chosen not to take hormones or would like to tweak your style more, then you have a menu of features to choose from:

Pitch — 147 Hz (D3) at highest Pitch chart
Resonance — More open throat, more chest vibration
Intonation — More staccato/clipped, less pitch movement
Articulation — More backed tongue carriage, more open mouth/lips
    Loudness level — Louder
Language — More direct, less descriptive/fewer words, stating facts and giving advice more than sharing feelings
Producing a lower, more chesty voice should be done with a relaxed throat and sufficient breath support to avoid developing a voice problem.

I once saw a video of a trans guy who, pre-T, had a very male voice, because he knew how to use his chest and vocal chords for a deeper pitch and resonance. He then spoke in his "normal" voice which was quite female. I wish I remembered the username. There was a distinct difference in the two voices he used. I'll look around and see if I can find it again.

This. It's not magical, but it will def deepen your voice. I did the exercises for like 4 or 5 months straight when I was pre-t and just coming out and was desperate for a deeper voice. . and it worked . . or at least enough for my voice to be passable with my age group (teenagers).
