I think I would be more "passable" if I tried to look like another race, specifically mix African American, probably could pass as a light skin African American woman. I'm Mexican.... but I don't think I will pass as a female as a Mexican woman (they're shorter on average). Has anyone ever thought of doing this? I mean like having tight braids, frizz out the hair, inject the lips to make them fuller, and then there's tanning injection I heard about that naturally darkens the skin. I would also put in color eye contacts, to make me look more exotic. Kind of like Alicia Keys, Tyra Banks image.

Why pass as someone else? Be you, every woman is different. Enjoy being different.

Maybe pass as a tall Mexican woman?    And stay away from the tanning drug, it has really dangerous side effects.

I don't think changing races will make you any more passable. I agree with Cindy. Try to accept and be yourself.

also the only people that will be like oh she is to tall to be a mexican woman she must have ben born a man will be mexicans as cross racial identification of any sort is incredibly unreliable. african americans will totally be able to tell that you arent really african american. just my thoughts on the subject hopefully no one minds a guys input on this subject.

This is not the place I would've expected people to tell you to forget about trying to change what you look like and accept yourself as-is.

But seriously, if you don't even particularly identify with the culture it's weird and could be seen as an offensive mockery.  At least that's how I feel about some drag queens (who don't actually identify as trans), and I would think that applies even more to someone trying to pass as another race who doesn't have any legitimate trans-ethnic feelings.

If you want to try the braids then try them and see how it works out.  You might be adorable with the black girl braids and the almost-Asian facelift.

The deeper issue here, though, is that you do need to accept yourself as trans to be comfortable.  Do your best to pass, but don't let it shatter you when you don't.  If you're trying to look black because you're afraid of not passing as a Mexican woman, I don't think it'll work.  Because then you'll still be afraid of not passing as a woman, and you'll also be afraid of not passing as black.

But if you try the braids and it's working for you and helps your confidence, I would say that's positive, so why not?

Not to be rude but... that is rather odd. Maybe there is some underlying feeling you have regarding distaste for your own heritage?

Honestly, I've kind of always wanted to be a white girl... mostly because most of my ancestry is Irish/German. But it didn't turn out that way... and I just started telling myself, "who cares"? Girls of Latin ancestry can be extremely beautiful anyway, so I came to terms.

I dont know how long had you been trying to go out in the open, if you do go out during the day or at night ,and whats your level of courage to face the world when you are wearing sexy hose over recent shaved legs, and 6 inchers, forbiding to bend as you are wearing a tiny mini or a nice sexy dress, ..point is it doesnt matter how malish or ugly lady someone can "think" he can be.
The point is that everything lays into how proper clothing and good makeup or dressing style we use, rather than our race or ethnicity,
I been living abroad for many many years, and it hapenned that i lived for a short time in MExico, Chile, Brazil, Colombia and Usa, by that time i never ventured out but i found out that most of the people look at girls very close and without shyness, even some comments are given good or funny.
Then i moved to Asia, I actually started to go out at the end of my stay in the USA for couple of years, but never in crowded places, my experiences were not with the results of passing.

then in Asia was little different i started to go to a studio first, i took pics, and the professionals helped me out on tips of how to appeal to the eye, from how to dress to how to padd and how to makeup according to my face features skin tone and complexity and of course not forgetting my age, about 35.

What i can say is to start by accepting your own physical atributes or defects and start thinking on how to accentuate your girly gifts and to work on the malish features.

What i needed to do was to padd much better in specific areas, work out my postures, develop manerisms when in girl mode (very very difficult, as i am staright guy completely nothing queer on me at all), select the type of shoes i will use according to my age, my style and my possibilities to walk well, then the hard work came when i needed to develop my skill of making up my face use suitable colors and identify a stylish from vulgar or unapropriate look. and semect the apropriate wig style.

My conclusion is that once you get to master these skills and understand your dressing style according to your age and also the environment you are, i mean in mexico you will never be able to wear what young chinese are wearing, otherwise you will be confused a sa hooker in 1 second, if you come to china you will think you are in the land of the prostitute fashion but actually is the normal fashion and is considered stylish to show the line of the hose and nothing on top to cover it, just a shirt and heels, see my point?

the other thing is to know to padd and know the amnount of hips you need to make a proportional silhuete and get rid of the malish shape.

select an appropriate hair style and color to tyour skin and age.

remember is better to pass as a very regular lady even boring lady than to be id as a prostitute and then see that there is a guy in there in the open, you decide. is nothing to do with race.

I could see this offending a LOT of people of the race you will be trying to imitate. It seems a little inconsiderate.

I am white Colombian, and have no issues appearing as such when i have return back to Bogotá and no one ever questions my gender let alone am i really a Colombian.


just enjoy who you are though are if you feel you are more tuned to a certain country then embrace that culture and all it can give you
