UT's Queer Student Alliance organized the three-day conference, which the alliance hopes will now be an annual event.

Holbrook, QSA spokesman, said that after the group traveled to Kansas City, Mo., for a similar national conference, they realized they could offer a closer and more affordable conference at UT, with open attendance for anyone in Texas.

The conference began Friday evening with the screening of "Homotopia," a film depicting the historical development of the movement.

Saturday's events included 30 different sessions covering issues from political lobbying level to transgender and intersex issues.

I know I have not been around lately, been doing a lot of speaking and traveling...and a load of stuff. But was in here tonight to see what news has been posted lately lol.  I am doing liesure reading?? hmmm.  Anyway,, wanted to let you know that I was with Ajay the maker of the 1:2000 film just a few weeks ago. I happen to know a few of the people in the film as well. It was the first time I actually crossed paths with Ajay, ( PA LGBTI Health Summit I spoke at) but have had this film for many months now.

She did a awesome job with making this film. I have several copies which I am starting to use with some of my speaking engagements, that says a lot of how well it was done. I never use anything that I believe is non effective, and this film is very well done. It is really worth everyone taking the time to get it and watch it is about 40 min long.

Anyone that is interested in a copy, just get up with me through PM and I will hook you up with how to do so. I don't want to link it here or cause a problem for susan, so PM and I will help anyone interested.  I am posting this only to be a resource for anyone that would like help accessing it. I gain nothing by doing so. ( just for clarity).
