I'd say no. Your face is rather bulky, and the graduated effect in the back would kinda look silly on you. Not only that, but your hairline has receded quite a bit (or at least your temples have), and the shorter back would not go well with a high hairline like that. You may actually want to look at getting some extensions up there to make it look a lil fuller, but first read on before considering that.
I would seriously say step 1 is to thin the hair out a bit from mid length. Your weight line (google it) is really causing an issue with your style.
Also, you see how in the haircut you chose, it goes from being short in the back, to short in the front? Well I think you should reverse it a bit. Make it longer in the back, and graduate to shorter going towards the front. Make it a soft blend, meaning instead of a straight line, curve the weight line. The way your face shapes from your nose to your chin would go well with that.
You really need to texturize those sides though. Or get some layers. That weight line is very heavy compared to the amount of hair you have on the top of your head.
BTW that pony tail is a bad idea for you. It shows your balding temples. Either pull some of the sides out of that band or get it cut so that it wont go in there. I have the same issues (though not as bad as you) and that's what I do.. and a pony tail actually looks pretty cute on me!
