Kinda hurt you didn't have my site listed considering I am a former member
:)  It's also one of the largest non-commerical transgender support sites on
the net. Consider listing it.

I was very surprised to receive this email. I did not know she lived in this area. We both are dedicated, in our own way, to helping the transgender community. I am Webmistress of the Tennessee Vals http://tvals.org website and on the board of directors of the group, and she has this fantastic site. I had seen it before of course and actually had an account, but had not posted yet.

I of course added a link to here on our links page, with the picture and everything. I trust she  was happy with the results.

For anyone in the Nashville area, please visit our site and consider joining our little group. That goes doubly for you Susan. I am anxious to meet you.

Hugs,

Welcome Vickie, about time you popped out of the woodwork  As for your picture I think it's 15 posts and then you can upload or link to an exernal picture. Just keeps the server from being submerged by photos of people who register but never post again :)

I will!  I am a big fan of Marisa. She keeps right on plugging away at the state capital in Nashville. I don't know how she does it.  ???

Here we are with Marisa on "Advancing Equality Day" at the capital, doing our part for our community.

It was kinda scarry, but I am so glad I did it.

Weren't you at Clarksville Pride in 2006? If so we likely met there though you didn't know who I was....

No, I missed that one but I did go to the 2006 Nashville Pride. And I intend to go to the 2007 Nashville Price, and I think I would have gone to the 2007 Clarksville Pride if it had not been canceled.  >:( I am trying to be braver and more active.  ;)

Well I would have if I knew that you were going to be hanging around with her.  Isn't Marisa one of the most amazing people you've ever met?  She was one of the people that made me feel welcome at SCC in 1997 when I was scared to death being out in public.

Beverly,

This is such a small world sometimes. I hung out with her too some last year.  ;)  I probably saw you too. Did I look familiar in those links I posted earlier?  ???

If any of you are heading to Nashville Saturday, I will be having dinner at Red inside Tribe on 2nd Ave. at about 7:00 PM, and then most likely spend some time at The Chute afterwards.

Email me and lets exchange phone numbers. I love meeting new people.

This past year, my wife and I were only at SCC for a short while on Saturday talking to Terry Murphy and Sabrina Marcus after lunch and hearing Jenny Boylan's speech.  I did stop in at the NCTE afternoon reception to see Mara Keisling but that was about all so I didn't get to see a lot of people.

Thank you all for making me feel welcome.

Wasn't Jenny Boylan's speech great. Did you download the SCC speeches from the SCC site? I still cry when I listen to Donna Rose's speech.   :'(

Wasn't Jenny Boylan's speech great.

It was and she's a great storyteller.  But she definitely cannot sing.  LOL  I went over to our local feminist book store yesterday to pick up a TG detective crime novel and ended up with a copy of She's Not Here also.

Anyone who gets a chance, go to that link and listen to Jenny's speech.  It's well worth the 15 minutes or so of your time.

Hi Vickie and welcome to the forum. I have read about the Tennessee Vals and am quite interested in the CD and TG scene in Tennessee. I'm particularly interested in Nashville.
