Haha I don't really get the complaints about spiro. To me it smells minty fresh and strong enough to fight the evil known as testosterone.

Congrats! Has the "first dose" smile worn off yet? (Mine took several days...)

Spiro is tolerable, until it gets stuck on your tongue, in which case it rapidly dissolves and becomes difficult to swallow it (keeps getting stuck in the throat)

Gag, gag, gaaaaaag!

LOL...ymmv!

Good luck with everything, T is a good thing to lose....and breasts are a really neat thing(s) to watch develop...  :)
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

Thanks! My mom is already telling me not to expect much in the first year though but to be careful in my late twenties cause my boobs and hips may get too big like hers XD

Apparently it's really bitter if you chewed it... :P (well I guess so would most medicines) I haven't dared to though!

Spiro... mmm.... chemically minty...
I haven't dared keep it in my mouth longer than it takes for me to swallow the horse pill.  I suspect that it has about 30 seconds of tolerable taste then it'll go really bad.  In any case, it's not going to work any better sublingually anyway.

lecoeurdegrey, congratulations on getting underway on HRT.  You're going to find it an interesting time, promise! :D

I've tried it, not as bad as Finasteride... yuck!

I started last Monday and so far the Spiro has no taste to me because I swallow it very fast.  I do let the estrogen dissolve under my tongue though.

As for the first dose smile....I don't think I have stopped smiling very long except for the unexpected cry this morning.

Not sure if it is the effects or not but I still do not know why I burst into tears for no reason this morning.

Have a great day

You're braver than me then *lol*
I try and get the spiro pill down as quickly as possible!
