I'm lucky enough to live in a neighbourhood where most of the guys look girly without even trying so, if i don't talk much, I can usually pass with a bit of care.

I was doing so in the shopping centre tonight... and then to pay I pulled out a pink spotted girly purse that my ex gave me years back...
The lady immediately apologized for referring to me as male while i mentally kicked myself

Mens wallets in brisbane are stupidly expensive and I'd just plain forgot about getting one.

So, feeling pretty foolish at the moment. Anyone want to make me feel better and share their 'rookie errors'? 

The passport office sent me a new passport, accidently writing in F instead of M.

I sent it back. Doh!

But the biggest error I've ever made was giving up when I hit the first hurdle at 19. OK, so I knew what I'd done by 20. But I'd lost momentum. It took me ages to realise that it's the set backs that are the big learners. Books, advice, watching others, standing infront of a mirror. That's all small fry compared to the errors. That where we really learn.

I don't think you need to worry about being a guy, just concentrate on the sort of guy you want to be. Because a guy who stands up for himself, keeps his line in the sand, shows respect and generosity to women, those less fortunate and makes people, generally, feel comfortable, is the sort of guy we all want around.

Sorry, don't mean to come over all wise there. I just feel your frustration.

I went out en femme and had it all together, with my sunglasses perched on the top of my head just like any stylish gal wears them. I had to drive, so i put on my boy glasses to see, and when i got to my destination, did not think to take them off. So i looked like an idiot with sunglasses on my head and boy glasses on my face.

I was at a party and said something "hurt worse than childbirth," and when I got funny looks and someone said I had no right to make that comparison, I was not smooth about it. Lol I stammered and said something stupid and stayed away from the women the rest of the evening.

I'm so going to slip up like this eventually  I've had to stop myself on a couple of occasions from piping up with pregnancy or birth related anecdotes/advice/whatever.

I haven't had a slip-up yet, but when I do, I know it will be a real doozie. It always is. As my Dad said once, I can never do anything small.
