Quiet legislative session in Austin has pluses, minuses for LGBT community

No news is both good news and bad news for the LGBT community when it comes to the Texas Legis-lature's 80th General Session, according to Equality Texas.

The good news is, with a little more than a month remaining in the session, no anti-LGBT bills have advanced. The bad news is several pro-LGBT bills are stalled in committee, and some have not even had hearings.

"It's frustrating," said Paul Scott, executive director of Equality Texas.
