There's a lot of beauty out there

I don't have a blog. I don't think I have enough to say to support a blog. But, since I'm in a pensive mood, I thought I'd make a blog-like entry.

I received today a very kind personal message from a poster here who appreciated that I tried to be informative and upbeat in my own post, and that I didn't bemoan my "transness."  It's true that I am lighthearted by nature.  It's also true there I times when I am in the depths of despair.

When I'm down, and I have been lately, I reflect on the good things in life and the beauty all around me.  And I'm not necessarily talking about physical beauty, although there are plenty of examples in the world.

I see beauty in a depressed and isolated transwomen posting a picture of herself smiling.  I see goodness in the way a single parent is coping with what life has tossed at him.  I find satisfaction in watching the progression of avatars from cartoons to confident pictures.  I see beauty in a person questioning their identity finding friends who understand and empathize.  I find beauty in seeing a person who has been here for years feel confident enough to say good bye.  I find mirth in the good-natured banter that happens here among friends.

I just want to say thanks to all of you here.  I hope I can return just a fraction of the love and friendship I've felt in the past six months.  Giving back to the community is just one way to show my gratitude.

Your friend,
Jamie D

PS - Cindy, this is not a parting opus magnum.  You're stuck with me.  >:-)

Jamie D, I enjoy your posts.. And it seems we are often on a similar wavelength. Like you, I don't bemoan being trans, it is what it is, I/We just have to make the best of it..

Glad you are hanging around darl.
There is certainly a lot of beauty out there. All women, cis or trans for starters.
Pretty much all of the Universe really, apart from a few pseudo-humans who will be just a blip in history anyway.
It's a pity it is rainy tonight, I wanted to try out my new telescope, the moon is awesome through a scope. Everyone should give it a go.

Karen.
